INGREDIENTS
Slim Shots contains natural oat, palm oil, artificial vanilla flavor, sweetener, aspartame (Phenylalanine) and beta carotene color.
Phenylalanine makes of 50% of aspartame, an artificial sweetner commonly used in diet products. ADD/ADHD patients and diabetics may experience negative side effects as a result of consuming this ingredient. Those with PKU, or at risk for PKU, should avoid Phenylalanine as it can cause brain damage or even death.
EXERCISE
Unlike many other supplement websites, the Slim Shots site gives relatively in-depth nutritional advice. The exercise advice is very rudimentary: Commit to work out three times a week for 30 to 45 minutes. It also advises that you join a fitness class or devise a home workout routine that incorporates both aerobic and strength training.
CONCLUSION
The editorial tone on the Slim Shots website doesn't lead you to believe that the company is in the snake oil business. There are clinical studies posted, and good advice about how you should eat and exercise. Even though the language is not over-hyped, there still is some question as to how Slim Shots actually works.
Ultimately, it's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth, um, a shot.

The taste is okay. It works. I am a constant eater, morning thru to night. This definitely curbs the appetite. No side effects for me. Sometimes one shot per day, sometimes two. One week and have lost 2 pounds, just by eating less. I eat healthy anyway, but eat a lot.
This stuff is great. Even when I get to my goal, I'll still keep some on hand to use once or twice a week to keep on track.

Jan 31st, 2009 - 1229PM, I took 2 doses at 7am today. So far, no BM or stomach cramping. I ate a sm breakfast at 8AM and I still feel very full. Today, I feel my appetite suppressed for the first time since I started 3 days ago.

I was skeptical, but it WORKS! The taste is fine, I don't know why they say that! It's like a thin consistency vanilla creamer. Not bad at all. I have not weighed in yet, only doing that 1 time/week. I had 1 shot 10;30am ate some yougurt for lunch, wasn't hungry still that night, but I did eat just so I wasnt weak or anything. but only ate a very small portion of vegetables & chicken breast. It TOTALLY stopped me from snacking at night after dinner. I have the exercise down, all I needed was some portion control & snack craving control. This does BOTH! It's now been 3 days so we'll see next week.
I keep hearing that they taste awful, but the truth for me is at first they dont have that much of a taste and the after taste is just like creamer so if you like creamer then you will be ok with these. in short I like the taste I hope they work today is my first day... wish me luck...lol!

Jan 30th - 2009 - I started these yesterday, one in the morning and one mid afternoon. They taste awful!! Yesterday, I had a hugh BM in the AM, but no decrease in eating. This morning I increased the dose and took 2 shots. I had hugh BM and stomach cramping this AM. WOW The taste is still awful. I will update tomorrow. Elizabeth

I tried Slim Shots for the 1st time today. It has definitely decreased my appetite without the jitters. One huge drawback, though: it tastes awful! They need to work on that. Thank goodness though that each shot is such a small amount - advance warning: don't ruin your coffee or food by adding a Slim Shot - just do the shot and get it over with. I asked my pharmacist if it would contraindicate with any of my other meds (I have MS and allergies) and she looked up the combinations and gave me the green light. Everyone is different, but, so far, so good with me!

Tastes and smells horrible.I am not going to give up yet.I tried it in my coffee yesterday,will try it in a protein shake next time.I hope it does work,but I do have doubts.
I have been using slim shots for 3 days. Really curbs cravings and appetite. Kind of a creaming not so great flavor but its worth it. No side effects.
Today is my first day. The taste wasn't that bad, besides it's like a really small amount. Ate an apple and drank a glass of water. I'm actually sitting at the kitchen table, and there are chips, cookies, and pop tarts in my sight, and I have no urge to eat any of it. They are on sale at CVS, 30-shots for $29.99. the taste is horrible I tried to put it in my drink it was terrible I have not tried to put it in coffe yet

The taste is bad but you do get used to it. I put in yogart and get a fiber bar to eat with it. It does put hunger to the side. I took it at 7am and wasn't hungry until 8pm!

I have been using slimshots for 2 weeks now & They are AMAZING!The first week I used 2 a day now,Im only using one a day around 630pm.Im on the slimfast diet & also drink one hydroxycut drink mix every morning at 10am.In 2 weeks Ive lost 6 pounds(one week of that was my time of the month too,I usually gain around 3 pounds at that time!!!).I havent started exercising yet.I use to eat all eve long untill I started using slimshots!Now I honestly have to “Remind”myself to eat!!These really work & are well woth $39.99 for 30 shots…thats only $1.33 a day to help you from over eating!!To me its saving me money because now Im eating less(and healthy)so I dont think they are over priced at all!!!TRY THESE THEY REALLY WORK!Good luck to all that try them.Ill post later with updated results

I wrote in on the 13th & I have continued to take one slimshot a day.They are nothing short of AMAZING! I have lost an additional 5 pounds since the 13th bringing my total loss so far in 3 & half weeks to 11 pounds!Im going to continue to use them untill I reach ,y goal weight.Hows everyone else doing?
P.S. I havent had any side effects & the taste goes away fast dinking water!

After my first try with the product slimshots, I will never try it again. As I said before it gave me a terrible headache and left me feeling even more hungry than usual, so there is no point in taking it if it makes one feel yucky! For me the simple fact is that I have to be tough get a trainer and learn to eat right.
I wish the product worked for me, but I do have to question the product because looking at other people's reviews no one seems to have taken the product for all that long. I only see a 5 pound drop here and there, so I wonder if anyone has lost more than that due to a longer periods of taking it?
I am on day 4 of this and it really seems to be working. I have never bought anything OTC that really did get rid of cravings but this seems to.

I just tried my first shot and within 5 minutes of taking it my head started to spin, kind of an outer body experience if you will...that's not good, so I believe it does have side effects, but my system might get use to it after a couple more times who knows. I also felt a bit drowsy too. Make sure to follow it up with plenty of water after taking it.
Secondly, the taste really is not bad in comparison to what I have been trying apple cider vinegar shots. I mixed the slim shot with some milk so it taste kind of like a non dairy creamer, it very bearable...geez bunch of babies complaining about the flavor!
Lastly, I'm going to stick with the general rule that diet and exercise are the best bet. I know we are all looking for quick and easy fixes, but no pain no gain right. But, I'll keep trying and see what happens and give an update.

I'm back, like I promised. I started SlimShots just this week on Monday. I've lost 3.2#. Let me tell you - I've been struggling for a long time to lose weight. I've been doing all the right things as far as exercise - going to a gym 3 times a week and walking 2 - 3 miles per day but still unable to lose weight. I just would eat too much. Slim Shots has helped me control my cravings and eat less. My son started using it on Tuesday. He's been overweight for several years. He is thrilled with it too and is now able to control his overeating. Yes, I agree, the taste is not good. However, I don't have any side effects (belching or a bad taste in my mouth for hours.) I simply do a shot before breakfast, drink a bit of water, and then have one again between 3 and 4 p.m. I have found this product at Wal-Mart for $24.96 with 21 shots - will last me 10 days. I just started taking Slimshots yesterday. The taste is terrible. I belch for an hour and each time I could taste the nasty taste. The smell is horrible and it taste just like it smells. It made me sick to my stomach and gave me a slight headache. However, I did not eat an afternoon snack and skipped desert last night. I took one this morning while eating breakfast and it seemed to go down better and I did not have the belching after effect. I just mixed one in with my lunch (bad idea). My lunch tasted horrible. I think they really help control my appetite, but I dread when it is time to take a shot. Kind of like the dreading drinking the prep stuff for a colonoscopy.
