INGREDIENTS
Slim Shots contains natural oat, palm oil, artificial vanilla flavor, sweetener, aspartame (Phenylalanine) and beta carotene color.
Phenylalanine makes of 50% of aspartame, an artificial sweetner commonly used in diet products. ADD/ADHD patients and diabetics may experience negative side effects as a result of consuming this ingredient. Those with PKU, or at risk for PKU, should avoid Phenylalanine as it can cause brain damage or even death.
EXERCISE
Unlike many other supplement websites, the Slim Shots site gives relatively in-depth nutritional advice. The exercise advice is very rudimentary: Commit to work out three times a week for 30 to 45 minutes. It also advises that you join a fitness class or devise a home workout routine that incorporates both aerobic and strength training.
CONCLUSION
The editorial tone on the Slim Shots website doesn't lead you to believe that the company is in the snake oil business. There are clinical studies posted, and good advice about how you should eat and exercise. Even though the language is not over-hyped, there still is some question as to how Slim Shots actually works.
Ultimately, it's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth, um, a shot.

Today is my first day. The taste wasn't that bad, besides it's like a really small amount. Ate an apple and drank a glass of water. I'm actually sitting at the kitchen table, and there are chips, cookies, and pop tarts in my sight, and I have no urge to eat any of it. They are on sale at CVS, 30-shots for $29.99. the taste is horrible I tried to put it in my drink it was terrible I have not tried to put it in coffe yet

The taste is bad but you do get used to it. I put in yogart and get a fiber bar to eat with it. It does put hunger to the side. I took it at 7am and wasn't hungry until 8pm!

I wrote in on the 13th & I have continued to take one slimshot a day.They are nothing short of AMAZING! I have lost an additional 5 pounds since the 13th bringing my total loss so far in 3 & half weeks to 11 pounds!Im going to continue to use them untill I reach ,y goal weight.Hows everyone else doing?
P.S. I havent had any side effects & the taste goes away fast dinking water!

As I said before it gave me a terrible headache and left me feeling even more hungry than usual, so there is no point in taking it if it makes one feel yucky! For me the simple fact is that I have to be tough get a trainer and learn to eat right.
I wish the product worked for me, but I do have to question the product because looking at other people's reviews no one seems to have taken the product for all that long. I only see a 5 pound drop here and there, so I wonder if anyone has lost more than that due to a longer periods of taking it?

I am on day 4 of this and it really seems to be working. I have never bought anything OTC that really did get rid of cravings but this seems to.

I just tried my first shot and within 5 minutes of taking it my head started to spin, kind of an outer body experience if you will...that's not good, so I believe it does have side effects, but my system might get use to it after a couple more times who knows. I also felt a bit drowsy too. Make sure to follow it up with plenty of water after taking it.
posted Jan 24th, 2009 4:30 pmSecondly, the taste really is not bad in comparison to what I have been trying apple cider vinegar shots. I mixed the slim shot with some milk so it taste kind of like a non dairy creamer, it very bearable...geez bunch of babies complaining about the flavor!
Lastly, I'm going to stick with the general rule that diet and exercise are the best bet. I know we are all looking for quick and easy fixes, but no pain no gain right. But, I'll keep trying and see what happens and give an update.

I'm back, like I promised. I started SlimShots just this week on Monday. I've lost 3.2#. Let me tell you - I've been struggling for a long time to lose weight. I've been doing all the right things as far as exercise - going to a gym 3 times a week and walking 2 - 3 miles per day but still unable to lose weight. I just would eat too much. Slim Shots has helped me control my cravings and eat less. My son started using it on Tuesday. He's been overweight for several years. He is thrilled with it too and is now able to control his overeating. Yes, I agree, the taste is not good. However, I don't have any side effects (belching or a bad taste in my mouth for hours.) I simply do a shot before breakfast, drink a bit of water, and then have one again between 3 and 4 p.m. I have found this product at Wal-Mart for $24.96 with 21 shots - will last me 10 days. I just started taking Slimshots yesterday. The taste is terrible. I belch for an hour and each time I could taste the nasty taste. The smell is horrible and it taste just like it smells. It made me sick to my stomach and gave me a slight headache. However, I did not eat an afternoon snack and skipped desert last night. I took one this morning while eating breakfast and it seemed to go down better and I did not have the belching after effect. I just mixed one in with my lunch (bad idea). My lunch tasted horrible. I think they really help control my appetite, but I dread when it is time to take a shot. Kind of like the dreading drinking the prep stuff for a colonoscopy.

God I hope this works. I'm so hungry all the time, morning, noon, and night. It will be nice to give my brain a break from thinking about food so much. I'll report back.

It is a different feeling. It tastes awful--like some rancid oil but I had a cup of yogurt right after, spoon by spoon and the taste disappeared from my mouth. I get the chills because I had rancid oil when I was pregnant. The whole bottle so it gives me the chills to think about it.

If it works it will be a miracle as there are so side effects!!!!!!!

I was really nervous about trying slim shots. I am so sensitive to most everything out there. But after reading all the reviews I decided to buy a box. I went yesterday morning and it took me all day to try a shot. Thats how nervous I was about side effects. So, finally at 4 pm, I took my first shot. The taste was not bad at all and the darn shot really does work. I cant believe it. I had a decent dinner and thats it. I slept well and woke up feeling fine. Its 8 am and I'm about to take my morning shot!! Then another at 4 or 5. We will see in about a week just how good this stuff works..

Well, day 1 is over, it's almost 10pm, by this time of night I am looking for honey buns or something sweet. I cannot believe that I do not feel like eating anything, I had a nice dinner, salmon and salad, and I feel satisfied. The taste does take some getting use to, but worth it!!!

Well, after reading reviews i finally purchased at CVS for $40, and to my surprise, it works, I took in the a.m. while driving to work, help keep me from turning into drive thru- and took one at 3pm, I feel pretty good. Works fast, I often get the late night munchies, so I will see if this works for the 10pm fridge attacks

I've all ready given this a thumbs up but want to say that I will report back on a weekly basis with my findings. It's good to read the reviews but I'd like to hear about people's results too. Come back on 1/23, and I'll tell you how my week went.
