It works wonders only the playback quality of theDVD was not good - kept on kicking and stopping midaway but overall the workouts are fun, very effective and the 6 day diet you really lose the inches off. I do the diet every now and again to burn some fats

Hip Hop Abs 6-Day Schedule

In six days you are suppose to lose pounds and inches, and jump start your fitness weight loss plan. You can start it any day of the week.

This diet is a high protein/low carb, aimed at getting your metabolism revved up. They do not recommend a diet this high in protein for a long-term heath. For six days, however, this plan will force your body to use stored body fat for fuel at the same time it ramps up your metabolism. Only do this diet for 6 days.

Some of you will probably substitute some of the food items, which is fine. For example, I don�??t have Beachbody�??s Whey Protein Powder, but I do have another brand that I�??m planning to use. You could also use Slim Fast Low Carb or High Protein Shakes. Just remember to plan out your meals for the six days and buy everything that you need before you begin.


Drink at least eight glasses of water a day-carbonated water is okay.

Herbal tea is recommended.

Coffee is okay with breakfast but skip the milk, creamer and sugar.

Only drink water for the 6 days.

Make sure that you eat your dinner 3 hours before going to bed.







Day 1

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio

Breakfast

Blueberry Smoothie
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder
1 cup fresh blueberries
4 oz. Water, or lite soy or skim milk
1 Tbsp. flaxseed oil (optional)

Mix in blender with a scoop of ice.

AM snack

Go Nuts
15 to 20 raw almonds or walnuts

Lunch

Lean, Mean Salad
1 cup fresh mixed greens
1/4 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 tbsp. red wine (or equivalent dressing-no ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
4 oz. roasted turkey breast

PM Snack

Cottage Cheese and Strawberries
4 oz low-fat cottage cheese
3/4 cup sliced strawberries

Dinner

Fish with Flava
4 oz. fish (halibut, cod, red snapper, or turbot)
1/2 shallot, chopped fine
1 tsp. chopped fresh garlic
1/4 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
1/4 chopped tomato
1/2 juiced lemon
2 cups asparagus
2 Tbsp. water
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place fish on a large piece of aluminum foil, with 2 tablesppons of water to provide steam. Top with tomato, shallot, garlic, thyme, lemon juice, salt and peper. Wrap tightly into a pouch and place on a baking sheet, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Steam asparagus and serve with fish.

Late Snack

T-Time
1 cup caffeine-free herbal tea
You may add a lemon or orange wedge if you wish.






Day 2

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Total Body Burn

Breakfast

Strawberry Banana Smoothie
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder
½ banana fresh blueberries
½ cup strawberries Water, or lite soy or skim milk
4 oz. water, or lite soy or skim milk

Mix in blender with a scoop of ice.

AM snack

Swiss and Roast Beef Roll-Up
4 oz. lean deli-sliced roast beef
1 oz low-fat Swiss cheese slices
Dab of mustard (yellow, whole grain, Dijon)

Layer and roll together, then nibble!

Lunch

Tuna Garden Salad
1 cup romaine lettuce
1/4 cup arugula
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
1 tbsp. red wine (or equivalent dressing-no ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
4 oz. flaked white tuna (water packed)

Toss salad and dig in.

PM Snack

Go Nuts
15 to 20 raw almonds or walnuts

Dinner

Chicken Delight
4 oz. skinless chicken breast
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. chopped rosemary
1 mist cooking spray
2 cups spinach or broccoli
Salt and pepper to taste
Seasoning salt of choice

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly mist a large piece of aluminum foil with cooking spray, assemble chicken, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper in the center, and wrap tightly into a pouch. Cook for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

Steam spinach or broccoli until tender. Drain and sprinkle with seasoning (such as Mrs. Dash, Lawry�??s, Emeril�??s Essence).






Day 3

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio

Breakfast

Swiss, Mushroom, and Broccoli Omelet
3 egg whites, beaten
1 whole egg
½ cup broccoli
½ cup sliced mushrooms
1 oz. low-fat Swiss crumbles

Cook in cooking spray.

AM snack

Chocolate Shake
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder (Chocolate)
4 oz. Water, or lite soy or skim milk

Mix in blender and enjoy. (ice optional)

Lunch

Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad
1 1/2 cup romaine lettuce
1 Tbsp. light Caesar dressing
4 oz. peeled, deveined shrimp
Grill seasoning of choice
1 line
1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat grill or grill pan, squeeze lime over shrimp, and season with frill seasoning. Cook shrimp 3 minutes or until done. Toss salad with Caesar and add shrimp, Yum!

PM Snack

Go Nuts
15 to 20 raw almonds or walnuts

Dinner

Shaun T�??s Tuna
4 oz. tuna steak
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. chopped scallions
1 mist cooking spray
2 cups bok choy or cabbage
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat skillet, lightly mist pan surface with cooking spray, and cook tuna approximately 2 minutes per side or to your desire doneness. Steam bok choy, then serve with tuna and sprinkle both with soy sauce and scallions.







Day 4

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Total Body Burn

Breakfast

Berry Energy Smoothie
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder
¾ cup mixed berries(blackberry, boysenberry, blueberry, etc,)
4 oz. Water, or lite soy or skim milk

Mix in blender with a scoop of ice.

AM snack

Turkey Roll-up
5 oz. roasted deli turkey breast
1 oz. low-fat Swiss cheese slices
Dab of mustard (yellow, whole grain, Dijon)

Layer and roll together, then nibble!

Lunch

Amazing Salad
1 cup romaine lettuce
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinaigrette (or equivalent dressing-no ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
4 oz. sliced lean meat of your choice

Toss salad and dig in.

PM Snack

Go Nuts
15 to 20 raw almonds or walnuts

Dinner

Steak-Veg Throw Down
4 oz. lean beef steak (hanger, skirt, sirloin)
2 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh garlic
1 mist cooking spray
1 cup asparagus
½ cup carrots
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat grill or grill pan. Plan steak in a plastic storage bag and add garlic, vinegar, and oil and marinate. Lightly mist grill surface with cooking spray and cook steak approximately 5 minutes per side or to your desired doneness. Stream asparagus and carrots, then serve with steak.






Day 5

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Fat Burning Cardio

Breakfast

Swiss, Mushroom, and Spinach Omelet
3 egg whites, beaten
1 whole egg
1 cup spinach
½ cup sliced mushrooms
1 oz. low-fat cheddar cheese

Cook in pan lightly misted with cooking spray.

AM snack

Cottage Cheese and Blueberries
5 oz low-fat cottage cheese
1 cup blueberries

Lunch

Shaun T�??s Tuna Salad
1 cup mixed baby greens
1/4 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
1 Tbsp. lite vinaigrette (or equivalent dressing-no ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
4 oz. flaked tuna (packed in water)

Toss salad and dig in.

PM Snack

Lite Shake
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder
4 oz. Water, or lite soy or skim milk

Mix in blender and enjoy. (ice optional)

Dinner

Crazy Good Chicken
4 oz. chicken breast
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. chopped scallions
1 mist cooking spray
2 cups spinach
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly mist a large piece of aluminum foil with cooking spray, pile spinach in the center, and sprinkle scallions over the spinach. Place chicken in the center of spinach arrangement and drizzle lemon juice over the top. Wrap tightly into a pouch. Cook for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.








Day 6

TODAY'S WORKOUT: Hip Hop Abs Total Body Burn

Breakfast

Strawberry Power Shake
1 scoop Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder
½ cup slicked fresh strawberries
4 oz. Water, or lite soy or skim milk
1 Tbsp. flaxseed oil (optional)

Mix in blender with a scoop of ice.

AM snack

Go Nuts
15 to 20 raw almonds or walnuts

Lunch

Chef�??s Salad
1 cup romaine lettuce
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped broccoli
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinaigrette (or equivalent dressing-no ranch, blue cheese, etc.)
2 oz. sliced lean meat of your choice (roast beef, turkey)

Toss salad and dig in.

Layer and roll together, then nibble!

Dinner

Chicken Dijon
4 oz. chicken breast
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 mist cooking spray
2 cups chopped broccoli
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly mist a large piece of aluminum foil with cooking spray, place chicken in the center, brush with Dijon, and wrap tightly into a pouch. Cook for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Stream broccoli and serve with chicken.

I do my hip hop abs exercise 5-6 times a week. I have always loved sport and dancing. We had our first anniversary couple of weeks ago (my clothes felt tight and I didnt feel beautiful in them) which was bothering me so once we got back home I decided to hop on a scale and start exercising again.
Oukki doukki....12 days later 10 pounds gone!!!! Although I have been eating healthier but oh boy does it feel easy to drop off the sausages I have on my tummy area. I have 12 more pounds to go but I am gonna do it!!!! Good luck everybody and have fun dancing. LOOKING GOOD!:D

I just started my 6 day slimdown today and I have not snacked on anything I am not supposed to. I have high hopes that this will work. I only have about 15 pounds total to lose so I am hoping that I can lose at least 6 pounds on this. I do have a question though. Those of you who have completed the 6 day slimdown.... is it ok to have at least one diet soda a day?? I love soda, there are no calories no carbs, etc in it.....????

6 day slim down in 6 days, 8 pounds later I am happy. Getting ready for my vacation in 7 days and will keep it going. I hope I can do this for 6 more days and lose more. Just 3 years ago I was 40lbs lighter, but I stopped regularly exercising and gained my weight "back", yes I lost it before. This is my jumpstart and I will continue. :-)

I have been doing HHA for about 2 months now I have lost about 20 lbs just by doing it at my own paste without following the schedule. I do it at least 4 days a week sometimes I do one video which is the total body burn and other days when I don't do total body burn I do 2-3 videos. I love it and I never get tired of it. It feels like Shaun T is in the same room with you and he motivates you so well. I borrowed Brazil butt lift from one of my friends. I thought I might change it up a little but I hated it. The trainer on that video was nothing like Shaun T. So from now on any workout dvd's I get are going to be only Shaun T.

i am happy to hear the comments and to realise that their is a meal plan however a friend gave me a copy of your cd . she did not give a meal plan i live in jamaica would it help me if i get it since i am not certain if the foods are here. however i love what i see. if you think the foods are in jamaica and i could get the things to purchase you could send a sample of it so i try it out and purchase it if i can . i am not mean but i am not rich either i am just an over weight mom that need to lose weight thanks for reading. i hope you talk back to me soon. peace see soon.

I am on my third week of hip hop abs and I have already lost a great deal of weight. My obliques are almost perfect and my stomach is getting flat. I strongly suggest this workout plan to any and everyone serious about losing weight. As long as you follow the plan and stick to it you will have great results. On top of that its super fun!!!! I started Hip Hop Abs weighing 190 lbs at 5'3". I found it very challenging, but I could keep up with it- barely. After sticking with it for a month, I'd lost 10 lbs and found it MUCH easier to do. Now I'm 20 lbs lighter, and I still find it to be a great workout. Shaun T is very inspirational, and reminds me of Will Smith- unlike some of the other workout videos I've tried where the instructor yells a lot.

I had a baby 8 months ago and was getting depressed at the 40 extra lbs i gained, so i got HHA from ebay,changed up my eating habits,cut out soda and took in water and in two weeks ive lost 3 lbs...im so excited! I love it everyone is noticing me losing the weight! I look forward to the days adding in the other dvds...i dont really want to be toned,just to lose my weight and be pre preggo...its gave me massive energy to get up and do more! im soon gonna throw in walking to go along with it...Thank You Shaun T!!!!!

I really hope this works, im a great looking guy but got no pack thats the only thing holding be back from being a 10 so i hope at the end of all this it will pay off and its been proven to help you lose up to 3 jean sizes in 6 days so i cant wait for results

I am not over wieght.. I just need the fat around the belly part that so many times is the hades to loose.
I have never had kids either..so this area of fat is just from aging.
