Leptopril

Here's a weight loss supplement not unlike many others, but at a generic price.

BACKGROUND

Leptopril is a diet pill solution that is made specifically for obese and significantly overweight individuals. Leptopril classifies these people as having more than twenty pounds of additional weight or a body mass index of more than 27. Leptopril is a generic version of the popular diet pill Leptoprin-SD. It offers the same dosage, results and ingredients at a more affordable cost.

Not only does Leptopril market itself as the sure-fix for those battling their weight, it's also a strong stimulant that will give you back needed energy. The Leptopril formula reduces sugar in the blood after meals, burns fat and provides increased energy. Leptopril is taken twice daily with your two largest meals.

INGREDIENTS

The ingredients for Leptopil were not published on the product site. There are many natural ingredients included, but also many sources of caffeine. Caffeine does have side effects such as headache, high blood pressure, nausea and racing heart. Leptopil also includes:

  • Guarana
  • Yerba mate
  • Green tea
  • Ma huang
  • Kola nut
  • Kelp
PRO
  • Weight loss solution for the significantly overweight
  • Generic pills allow a price break
CON
  • Contains a significant amount of caffeine
  • No FDA approval
  • Website does not publish ingredients
EXERCISE

Leptopril does not make any exercise recommendations for consumers.

EXPENSE

Two, 95-count bottles of Leptopril are about $75. This is about half the cost of the name-brand counterpart Leptoprin.

CONCLUSION

Just like with prescription medicine, it's nice that a less expensive generic-brand is available. Leptopril can be found for about half the price of the name-brand version, and has all of the same results. Leptopril is targeted to what they define as severely overweight individuals. However, the ingredients list does not vary far from what many other diet supplements include. There is little product information available and no consumer testimonials available on the product website. Leptopril does not make any exercise or dietary recommendations to follow while taking the pill.

Common Misspellings

I love it,took it for 3months 2pills a day,and walked about a mile 3 times a week .i lost 56pounds,only unfortunate thing is it did raise my blood pressure through the roof,so i had to stop taking it.it definitely gave me the boost i needed to lose the weight, but im continuing on my own now.i didnt have high BP before even with being "overweight/obese" so i truly dont need it now at a price of the weight loss.Good Luck to Everybody

I have just started taking leptopril. I have tried many, many, many diets and diet pills. I have 2 friends that are using leptopril and love it but I am skeptical because i have even tried prescription diet pills with no luck! So I started leptopril on a thursday then was unable to take it over the weekend because i was sick hopefully due to the flu shot i got!?!? But today is Wednesday and I am starting it all over. I am going to try to keep up with a decent diet and some exercise but realistically i am not sure how I will do with that part! Sorry just trying to keep it real! I am 210 and 5'8" female. I will check back with some results in a week. Wish me luck! Oh and I did have a head ache when i started last week but I am sure it was because i forgot to eat which has never happened before!!!!

I am a 25 yr old mother of 2 young boys, I have always been overweight by some amount my entire life. After having children I am even more overweight. The beginning of Sept. I was at a staggering 280 lbs on my 5'4" frame. I started taking Leptopril at that time, but just 1 pill in the morning. I did not have any side effects and now that it's been a month and a half, I've only bumped it up to 2 pills at once in the morning, but it's working as I've managed to lose 20 lbs so far when previously nothing had worked. I do totally recommend these as a diet aid in conjuction with healthy eating, I haven't exercised yet, but I'm sure the results would be even more extensive with it. Oh, and I got the 95 count bottle at Albertsons on sale for only $17.

Of course you lose weight between the nausea, vomiting and runs to the bathroom how could you not. Only 3 doses convinced me that this was not my diet aid.

Every year it seems like I've gained 5 pounds... now I'm uncomfortably 20 pounds heavier than I want to be... The Leptopril... did give me the energy boost I needed to exercise. What I like most is that it didn't mess with my head: I feel focused, energized, *alert*... and at the end of the day... I sleep like a baby. I can't and won't say that losing those pesky pounds were instant... but I'm ok with that. Anything "instant" isn't my speed anyway.

I take two pills two times a day at my largest meals, I have no side effects at all. I try to walk at least 3.5 miles every other day. I only lost 5 pounds the first week. I've been using the pills for about a month now. My first bottle is almost gone. I weigh 185 pounds and would like to lose at least 50 pounds. It just doesn't seem to work for me at all. I haven't changed eating habits at all. It does seem to give me alot more energy. I also try to take the pills about 1/2 hour before meals. What am I doing wrong?

I've been taking this for 2 weeks and have lost 7lbs. I was jittery at first, but now I have no appetite. Unfortunately, I'm hypoglycemnic from it, and am pretty sick to my stomach

i took it easy and the first week for me was good, i am 30lbs overweight, then i noticed a little bit of acid reflux. i was feeling good and it made me not even want a drop of caffeine (usually 2cups/d) but the a.reflux got so bad i had to stop taking them. all in all i think i lost 4-5 lbs in 2bottles worth. if you have slow metabolism like me and are able to exercise, i think choosing power foods (veggies, berries, healthy meats etc) will have same effect. i may try another type, leptoprin? b/c the research on leptin hormone levels is staggeringly high...i presume leptopril has this in a slightly different form...fat cells secrete leptin and as you lose fat the leptin stops getting made, thus when you get skinny you start gaining weight b/c the leptin says levels are low and the brain says hey, i am not eating enough. this is a case where i think the drug companies will actually get it right w/in 5-7yrs. find what works to you by listening to your body.

I did the big mistake of taking my first 2 pils at 4pm... Felt bad for 24h. You really need to follow the instructions and START WITH 1 PILL to see how you will react. Took 1 pill this morning with breakfast, very little reactions. I have more then 60 pounds to loose.

I have only been taking the pill for a short time-I love the fact that I dont want to munch in between meals, and know when to stop eating now. I have already lost 5 lbs (in only 5 days) I am mixing this with excersize. I only have minor side effects-I think that mostly it depends on the person and there body-some people have higher tolerances than others for things. I also think it depends on the person's rigidity in following the directions. I would recommend it-just work your way up to the dose-I am only at 2 pills as of yet.
