BACKGROUND
Akavar 20/50 is a European weight loss pill that has achieved much success. It has made its move to the U.S. seeking the same. Akavar boasts that it is the ultimate fat cure and that you'll see the results you seek without any diet restrictions or inclusion of exercise.
Akavar is designed to restrict your daily caloric intake to less than normal. Without those calories that your body requires for energy, you'll start to use your fat reserves. This will of course cause you to lose weight and inches. However, you'll immediately gain back that weight should you stop using Akavar. The website offers little-to-know information about the product leaving open many questions about the supplement.
EXPENSE
A 60-count bottle of Akavar 20/50 can be purchased for $39.99.
PRO
- Promotes eating all you like and still seeing weight loss
- Reduces urge to overeat
- Do not have to count calories
- Won't feel hungry
While there are a few positive attributes of Akavar 20/50, the site is still vague and offers very little information about the product. Akavar does make claims that clinical research has been conducted. Unfortunately, they do not present this information as most diet pills do.
CON
Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the more concerning details include:
- Promotes a lifestyle without exercise and healthy diet
- No FDA approval
- Web site offers very little information
- No published clinical research
- Does not publish ingredients
- Contains caffeine
INGREDIENTS
It takes a lot of research to find what is inside those little Akavar tablets, as the product's website bypasses any discussion. Akavar includes many caffeine sources including xanthine and green tea leaf. Other ingredients include yerba mate, guarana seed, ginger root, kola nut, Tibetan ginseng, cocoa nut, rice flour, yellow no. 6, red no. 3 and Gelatin, among many others.
CONCLUSION
Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot of open questions- which really leads to concerns about both the product's effectiveness and impact on the body. With so many diet pills and supplements on the market, it is important for manufacturers to paint a detailed picture of the product to help consumers make the most educated decisions. Many diet pills and supplements provide all of the information that Akavar seems to have conveniently left out. It is also a little misleading that without diet and exercise you can still lose weight. Anyone who has ever committed to losing weight knows that without important changes to diet and exercise, results are often not achieved.
Common misspellings: Akvar, Akavare, Akavar 50/20, Akavar 2050
Anonymous: I have been on the Akavar pills for about 4 days. The first few days I was not very hungry. Now, I eat even more than I did before because I keep thinking the pill is going to help me lose weight without eating less. I am confused! It claims that you can eat all that you want and lose weight. Time will tell, but I am losing hope not weight!
brittany: hey! i love this pill! it does really work...i mean i have been eating normally( i dont eat much) and i have lost about 3lbs in a week! i dont know what it does...but i like it....i was on alli and it has sum really bad side effects! but neways my mom bought the pill and like them to..the caffine is not as high as other leading diet pills....i took NV and it sux! lol it gave me a cyst on my overies for real, i wouldnt advise any1 to take it! okeyz well thats just my 2 sense -brittany
Anonymous: Been using for 2 weeks and it hasn't done anything for me. Eating the same, weigh the same, no boost in energy.
Henry: I tried Akavar. I started feeling strange urges about three days into taking it. I lost weight but I'd also wake up in strange places surrounded by fast food wrappers. I didn't remember eating anything or driving anywhere. I've heard of people who had these kinds of side effects from sleeping pills but Akavar is not a sleeping pill. I've lost 30 lbs now, but I also have several days unaccounted for. Beware!
Anonymous: This pill doesn't do anything. The claims are totally false. It's all advertising and marketing. I've been taking this pill religiously for 3 weeks and I've gained almost 3 pounds. I followed instructions and ate everything I wanted but instead of loosing the weight I gained!! I can't believe how they can lie to customers and get away with it.
Azaria: Hi everyine, My fiance and I just started taking akavar 3 days ago, so far hes lost 3.6 pounds and Iv'e lost 2.4. I don't know much about akavar but so far so good. I will right back in and let everyone know how its going. Also if you are looking to decrease your weight you might want to look into colonic irrigation. It sound awful, but its really not that bad. Friends of mine have had it done and its knocked off 16 pounds. Good luck everyone.
Anonymous: i just bought AKAVAR 20/50 and now i feel like a sucker! I read the website, the box and i thought only ann idiot would believe this.Their website does not contain any indepth info on the product.Thats what i get for not reading and just buying without doing my homework, oh well.
Ryan: Hi I tried Akavar for a week and have had serious dizzy spells almost like black outs. I also did no have any weightloss. i am not sure if this works or not but had to stop.
eric: Anyone who has actually tried this pill is an idiot. There is no such thing as something for nothing. The key to losing weight is diet and exercise. Nothing crazy; just eating in moderation and getting off your ass once in a while (3x per week).
Anonymous: I have been taking akavar for two weeks. I definatley feel the energy and i have more mental clarity. I also notice it helps with the cravings. I have not notice weight loss as of yet, but overall I am happy with the product. I will take it for two more weeks to see if it helps with weight loss.
Anonymous~E: Okay so I've been using this pill for a couple days now. I follow the instructions (take 2, 15 minutes before a meal) and I drink with two full glasses of water. I seriously feel full after poppin' 'em and I'm sure I figured out the way they work. They coat your stomach similiar to Pure Weight Loss's CarbX to help take all the carbs out of your body. I was having difficulty eating chicken yesterday because I really wasn't hungry. It really helps fill you up sooner. As for my weight loss I don't know yet I haven't stepped on the scale but I know this keeps me full and honestly I will be working out and eating healthy which will help me lose the weight but I won't be as hungry as I usually am because of working out so much. That's really the key to this pill. FYI It's not FDA Approved because if it was you'd have to get a prescription for it. Alli is the first diet pill ever to be approved by the FDA but if you read the label you'll be eating like your on a diet anyway so thats why you'll lose weight not from the pill but from eating less than 15g of fat each meal. Thats my two cents :)
Robin: Hi I Just finished a bottle of Akavar and I have lost 8.4 pounds so far. I really feel energenic maybe because I am use to drinking coffee. I do eat normal. I am kindof wondering if it is the akavar that is working or its all in my head. I still feel fat though and I only want to lose around 30 lbs all together
Anonymous: HEY. i just started using and i wanted to know if anyone knows about serious side effects like tumors or permanent damage in the future,.please help out if you know anything , or belive it has that capability.thanks.
Chip: I have been taking for 3 days now, I definately don't feel hungry. I'll post again when I finish the bottle with results.
Anonymous: I am a dietitian, and supposed to know how to lose weight! I've been in great shape all my life till 2 years ago when I've started eating junk foods, regular soda, sweets, and lay down on a cauch watch TV. I've gained 22#, from size 4 to size 8. I've tried so many different pills, all the ones with clinical information, etc...none worked. I've just recieved my first bottle of ALKAVAR today. But, everyone should realize regardless of what the add says you must still make efferts, not dieting but watch what you're eating? Those pills which make you lose lots of weight in first 2-3 weeks, 40# or so, its because you lose your body fluids, if you lose 8-9# first 2 weeks with ALKAVAR, its because you're losing body fat, without exercise that's normal. I know what I'm doing wrong, and if after I stop the pills I gain it back then sham on me!
Rachel Ann: I thought this may work. I haven't gained any weight and I have felt as if my appetite is smaller, but I havent lost any weight either. I don't work out so that may be the problem, but it does say if you work out and eat right it will help. I eat smaller amounts of junk food. Ha. I think we should all just eat smaller amounts of healthy food.
Lynn: I've been using it about a week and i'm down 4 lbs without changing my eating habits. I want to lose about 15 lbs total. What I noticed after about 3-4 days was I'm not as hungry between meals so I can eat what I want AT meals, I also am not snacking at night and I leave more food on my plate now as I feel full (I used to skip full and go straight to miserably stuffed)
Redshawaiian: you can check out the ingredients at http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/dk/akavar.html. I started a few weeks ago and have lost weight, have energy and have really lost my huge appetite. No more snacking! But like every vitamin, mineral, or any supplements it is always common sense to talk to your physician. I have learned with the help of an herbal nutritionist that every body is different. Some things will work on some people, some will not. At least if it doesn't work on you after the first few weeks you can get a refund. As for me, it works.
Irene: I literally have tried every diet possible along w/increasing and decreasing exercising, I keep a daily food intake diary, count calories, protein, carbs and use the GI Index. However, I never, never, could imagine by taking Akavar 20/50 could make such a great, positive impact on the way my body(especially my stomach) looks. I love the way Iook now. I only take 1 pill 15-30 min before I eat ( 7am then another 2-3pm) and I do treadmill at lunch 4 days a wk..take a mulitvitiamin at bedtime...I look good therefore, I feel great. Akavar 20/50 works if you just use a little common sense. I use to have to work out 5 days/wk extensively, now, I just do cardio for 30min and it is great..
Amy Jackson: I found www.AkavarStore.com which has a lot of information on it about Akavar. I've been using akavar for about 3 weeks now and i've lost 12 pounds. It has worked for me anyways. I've recommeded it to some family and friends and for some it has done great and others not as good. So, I guess it just depends on the person. I'm sure glad I tried it out.
Anonymous: Today, i bought this akavar thing. Im only 17 years old, and i weight around 155. I feel very fat and even obese, idk why. Today, im going to start taking them (secretly). Im hoping i'll see results soon. If akavar works, i'll buy another bottle. Im also going to exercise and eat less.. hopefully that will help. My goal is to lose 10 lbs, which will bring me to 140.
Anonymous: I have been on this stuff and it makes my stomach burn; like heart burn any suggestions???
Anonymous: Its active ingrediant is caffeine! If you can't stand coffee, don't take this! How about: this pill is a fraud...
Brad: I ordered akavar online and I recieved it very quickly! I have been using the product for a little under a month, and have found that I don't overeat anymore and I haven't been having some of the cravings that I used to. Also I the extra energy is helping me accomplish more throughout the day. I have lost 9 pounds so far... about 11 more to go!! im very pleased with the product so far.
Anne: I started (skeptically) taking AKAVAR 4 days ago. I've lost 5 pounds. I can only take 1 capsule before 2 make me feel anxious and nauseaus. I definitely eat less. I am walking 2 1/5 to 3 miles/day approx 4 days/week. This is not new, I've been walking with no weight loss for 2 years. I am eating very healthy on this, high fiber, no beef, etc. This is also not vert new, I've been eating this way for 6 months, again with no weight loss . Even though the food is healthy, I was eating too much of a good thing. So, I say this product, if it continues to work, is amazing.
Anonymous: I have only been on the pill for 3 days now... i don't see any results.. but i am never hungery! and then when i do eat.. the food seems to go straight through me! i geuss that;s how the pills work! you eat and then the pill breaks down the food and it goes right through you.. i just want to know if this is ok or if any one elase has felt like this!! any info would be great!
Anonymous: I hear that this product doesn't work at all and the company is being sued by the FTC. The only diet pill that works and has been clinically proven is MiracleBurn. Its the only diet pill to contain both hoodia and PATENTED advantra-Z.
Bobby Boy: I have used Akavar for about a months. I have gained 5 pounds while on it. And I work out, too. This crap doesn't to anything. I am going to test their money back guarantee.
Jennifer: I just bought akavar a few days ago. The second day that I started using it, I noticed that I wasn't hungry and actually forgot to eat until later in the day. I haven't seen too much weight loss yet, but i'm sure I will soon. The box suggested that you excercise a little bit and you'll see even better results. All these freakin' idiots that think they can go out and eat an entire cake every day for breakfast and gorge on fast food should be taking "smart" pills instead. These things aren't magic...they're just a supplement! You have to help them along. So don't be lazy!
Leah: I have been taking Akavar for 2 weeks now. I dont want to loose weight I just want to be able to acutally enjoy christmas treats and dinners withour having to kill myself dieting and exercising.. I have eaten.. VERY VERY badly.. I mean like lots of peanut butter, cookies, chocolate, lots of carbs, drinking etc. I havent gained any weight.. I do a lot of stretching and lower body toning ( because that is where i put on all of my extra weight) I have noticed that my stomach is actually flatter now i think i am loosing inches. My weight hasent increased or decreased. just a note to everyone.. you can pretty much eat what you want for a week straight, then the next week cut your calories to 1200 or 1400.. ur body will burn so much more calories because it would be used to burning 2000+ calories daily. I have done some research on this . n e ways.. Akavar i believe is helping me maintain my weight.. I like it so far and I am far less hungry :)
Ann: Hi guys. I've used it for 2 weeks, I feel very good. But sometimes I cannot sleep, I think because of the caffeine, I don't want to eat anything, but still feel hungry in the evening.I don't think we can't eat whatever, it just helps us to restrict the hunger.
Anonymous: For the people who say they've had weird side effects from Akavar, stop using cocaine. I have been on it for 2 weeks. I have lost 5 pounds and I have NOT experienced any strange side effects. Do people truly think that a pill will allow you to lose weight without diet and exercise? This pill does boast wonderful things, but it is meant as a metabolism booster to get your stomach acids churning so you start breaking down the food as soon as it hits your stomach (hence the need to take it 15 minutes prior to eating). As with any type of diet pill, stop taking it if you don't like it.
Anonymous: This product contains 125mg folic acid also known as vitamin B6. It can cause nervousness, which will keep one awake and make one jittery. Some people cannot take this much B6 without getting side effects. Severe side effects are nerve damage. So please be careful. Losing weight may not be worth it.
Jamie P: Newsflash. Water fills up your stomach just like food does. Sure, it takes your stomach longer to breakdown solid food, but your stomach still has to digest water before it can be carried off through your bloodstream. So if you are supposed to take this pill with a full glass or two of water of water in only stands to reason that you are going to fill fuller faster. Hey, if you don't believe me, just try drinking a big glass of water before you eat your next meal. You will eat less and guess what...lose weight.
Emily.: well, I tried it a couple of times, and I just had two yesterday, but last night my muscles were hurting so much in my legs, and my back was in so much pain. I think it works, but it isn't good to take it toward night fall.
Anonymous: I have been on Akavr for one week. I havent weighed myself yet but I know its working. I only take one pill at a time because of the caffeine. I do go potty ALOT! But that is just more exercise going up and down the stairs! I have also noticed that I fill up faster and I dont get my sweet treat cravings at night any more. Plus I have cut down on the pop that I drink. I went from drinking 4-5 regular pops a day to only drinking ONE!!!
Anonymous: There is a reason you feel full after taking one of these pills...it's the 2 glasses of water you drink with it! Of course drinking 2 glasses of water is going to fill you up. Give me a break. Don't take the easy way out...you're going to gain all that weight back. Eat the right foods and get out and move!
Janey: I have tried these pills several different times and each time, it makes me feel like my stomach is full of cement and I feel like I need to vomit and I can't. I don't recommend anyone take this product.
Anonymous: i just started using this pill today. i took two capsules with one glass of water 15 minutes before dinner (like it says). i ate my dinner like normal, but since then i'm really not at all hungry. i usually eat again about 2 hours later but i do not feel hungry. the only thing i can complain about it at the moment is that i am getting this burning feeling in my stomach and my vision is a bit blurry (which may not even be from the pill). i AM underage to be taking this pill, but i guess we'll see what happens. it's obvious ANY weight loss pill is going to affect everyone differently. let's just see how it works for me. i'll post another in a few days. ps. does anyone know why it makes my stomach burn?
Anonymous: I am concerned reading the stories about underage and 17 yr olds taking these pills because they feel fat. Anyone hear about Terry Schiavo, the girl who in the 90's took diet pills and had a heart attack which left her in a vegatative state and they finally pulled the plug. For gods sake stop taking these pills and excercise and lay off the big macs and other fast food. I came across this website looking for sensible diet plans and read what everyone is going through to look good.
Milly: Just a heads up. If you combine gaurana and yerba mate it's almost like a natural Fenfen. If nothing else all the stuff in these will definatly give you more energy whether you want it or not.
MARK J: I've been taking Akavar 20/50, for just about 2 weeks now. I've taken everything in the past from Hydroxycut to Stacker 3. I'm being 100% honest in saying that as a 25 y/o male who sits behind a desk and has only 2 days a week to work out, that Avakar has done it's job. I have increased my water intake, this product has given me great energy, and suppressed cravings in between meals. I intake about 1500 calories a day, and take 2 pills 15 mins before lunch and dinner. It's great. Week One I lost 4lbs, and Week Two I lost 7lbs. The thing that makes me happiest is that I can actually see a change in my waist line I went from a 33 to a 32, and my weight has gone from 179 to 168 thus far. I'm almost at my goal of 155lbs. You have to eat healthy and watch calories, carbs, and fat to make it work people. Kudos Avakar!
Phaedra: I took this product for 4-weeks along with diet and exercise and i actually gained weight. When I called Akavar's customer suport which is actually distributed by Body Forum Shop for my "money-back" guarantee, I was told that since it was after 30-days, they could exchange it with another diet pill products. I wanted my $49.99 back as stated in the guarantee. Dynakor products are none effective.
Anonymous: people really need to realize that there is no magical diet pill. if there really was a pill that would let you eat all you want and still loose weight there would be no obese people
Anonymous: I know nothing of your product. However, sad to say, I do know of your TV commericals and they are not the best by far. PLEASE. I have seen Akavar coming for weeks. ENOUGH!
Anonymous: just for the record this product does not contain any frolic acid, B6 is not frolic acid but pyridoxine which helps with sodium patassium balance and absorption of fats and proteins.
Anonymous: I see to sides to this Akavar pill. You have some people saying that it works and you have people saying that it doesnt work and that people who buy the pills are idiots, and you say that people need to get off the couch everyonce in a while. Well first off I'd like to say dont be bitter cause it didnt work for you and quit saying people need to get off the couch and work out instead of taking this pill cause it's very hard for some people to lose weight. I've been taking this pill for 4 weeks now and I've lost 15 lbs. I dont over eat even though it's says you can eat what you want. I still eat about the same and I try to work out when I can. For those who havent tried this pill dont let bitter people discourage you to try this pill...cause who knows it might just work for you.
FiFi: I have decided to try Akavar, so I have taken 2 pills as directed with a full glass of water. All I can say for now is that, since taking the pills I had a heart burn for about an hour. I will buy a scale and post a message weekly to let you know of the progress and any side effects.
Anonymous: Ok, for the people that are bashing diet pills,.. Why are you on here?? For those that say this doesn't work, you need to realize everyone is built differently. What works for me is not going to work for you. What makes this pill work or not work is in your genetics. There is a chemical compound in it that works on the parts of your brain that say "Im hungry" and "Im full". Just because it says "Eat all you want and still lose weight" does not mean go to McDonalds and order the entire menu. If this is your eating habit, nothing is gonna work for you hun, try a doctor.... However, if you have it in your mind that you are ready to lose weight.... read the packaging; and read all of it.... healty diet and exercise are recommended for best result. I have been taking this pill for about a week and a half and yes, it works,... FOR ME... I set it in my mind that I was going to start eating better.... this does not say that I cut out fried or fatty foods all together, however, I made a deal with myself. Thats how it begins. There is no miracle pill or diet that works 100% of the time for 100% of people. Your diet and exercise routine does not work for me, and my diet and exercise routine does not work for you. If you are gaining weight on this pill its because your body has an immunity to it and you should try something else. Quit wasting your time with pills and see a doctor. For everyone- If anything is gonna work, you have to believe in yourself first. When you decide you are gonna stick to something, make a deal and reward yourself when you meet goals in weightloss. 10#- splurge on dinner, go to get pizza or something. 20#- buy a new wardrobe... its all about commitment to yourself, not to the pills or diet routines. Im no doctor, or anything else. Im a 24 year old Military Reservist and Active Duty wife- mother to 3 boys.... it takes time and faith....
Anonymous: I have taken akavar for a couple of weeks, it works but to those that have heartburn, drink more water thats what I found works when your heart burn comes on. Give it a chance to those that are so negative
Rufus: I take Akavar anally and it has helped me more than if I were to take it orally. Somehow the ingredients are absorbed more efficiently through the anus. This leads to an absorption level of 50% more than through the mouth. I'm going to try to shoot these up IV to see the boost then.
FiFi: I'm back! I took the pills the first day and I got a heart burn which when away by the end of the day. I mentioned that not because I am so negative, but I just wanted to be honest. Anyways, the next Day1 had no heart burn and I haven't experienced it anymore. Day2 I had to rush to the bathroom with sooorry "loose stool" I don't wanna say it was diarrhea cause that would mean more than 3 times a day. That happened an hour after I had taken the pills, of course, as directed 15mins before lunch. However, Day3 and Day4 I have had no side effects at all. With regards appetite, I don't feels there has been a change, I mean I am not feeling full nor am I feeling more hungry. I am not one of those who eats a lot, nor am I one of those who starve, and I haven't changed since taking the pills so far. I thought I would feel less hungry or full. But I don't mind that, the pill is suppose to work any hows. We'll see!!!!:)
Anonymous: OK First off you really have to question a product whose commercial starts off by saying "We couldn't say it on tv if it wasn't true" Hello how stupid do you have to be to believe that. You never get Something for Nothing! This is a fairly new product on the American market and there may be all kinds on side effects that have not been discovered or documented. Yes this product has been in Europe for awhile but that does not mean they have gone public with all the side effects. Better yet go on believing that this will work, I have a pill that will make you learn a second language just by taking it 4 times a day. No learning involved just take these special pills and learn a nother language. AND REMEMBER WE COULDN'T SAY IT ON THE INTERNET IF IT WASN'T TRUE!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jane: so i started taking the pills yesterday... i started with one to see what it would do with a full glass of water 15 min before lunch....about 30 min later a had wicked bad heart burn that lasted all day.... i took it agian today. no heart burn, but i can feel my stomach burning..... ill take it again tommorrow and see what happens....
Anonymous: wellll I thought about getting this but after all these comments...i am going to save my money LOL
Anonymous: Ok I started taking Akavar months ago , but like some of the others i had quite worrying side effects..obviously being heavy was not great when have heart burn and dizzy spells along with palpatations. It makes me wonder whether you could in fact have a heart attack..??? I have heard great things untill it hit the US and now it seems there is NOT enough info on it and the general census of opinion is that it is CRAP,,we are all indivviduals but beware anyway some of these positive reviews could be from Akavar !!!!!!!!!!!
Vanessa: First, a little background. I have tried dieting in the past, but I am not one of those sorts who will "crash" diet, nor am I inclined to try the latest fads as they happen. Rather, I try to limit how much I eat, and I stay away from excess sugar, excess fat, and so on. I have found that if I eat less than about 1700 calories a day, I can lose weight. The problem is my appetite is just too big - I need at least 2500 calories a day to stave off the hunger. Enter Akavar: I bought a bottle of pills yesterday, woke up this morning a little hungry, and took a single pill (i.e. half the usual dosage - I am slightly sensative to caffeine). My hunger passed 15 minutes later, and has not returned in the hour and a half that I've waited so far. The only side effect I have noticed is a slight "earthy" um... taste... to the gas that I normally have to deal with (we all have "tasted" something at least once when we burp, I'm sure). That, and a somewhat higher than normal energy level. I'll write again in a week or two with my progress. So far, the pill is working as claimed.
Anonymous: I would like to take a moment and thenk each and every person who has posted a comment here so far. I will admit, I found this page while looking for a diet or exercise plan or supplement, but read a few comments and stayed to read the whole "show" (lol). It reads like a story and it had my attention until the end. I have found a great site to read an entertaining dialogue and forget about things like losing weight. Between these products' ridiculous ads, the bickering amongst the different opinions and the emotional and pill popping rollercoaster ride the tale spins you into another realm of reality where common sense, clear grammar and ambition are uneard of! God! this could win an award for nonfiction! Thanks again, but if you are missing what I am saying, please take a moment and read all of the comments from top to bottom as if they were characters carrying on converstaions in a book called AKAVAR! You have my vote - thanks for the giggle :)
A: Has any one tried taking the pills on an empty stomach? Does it work better?
Jeanne: The heartburn you may feel after you have taken your pills is because you have not drunk enough water with the pills. That happened with me, too. I have been taking the Akavar supplement for two days and realize the pills control my appetite so I can stay on my diet! That is exactly what I needed.
Loretta: I have started useing akavar this morning. I don't feel hungery and have a boost of energy. I weigh 321lbs. I will weigh in again on 2/3/08 and i will post the results. Don't knock it until you try it. Every one is different.
Anonymous: I just started taking Akavar today. Took my first 2 pills this morning with water, 15 mins later I ate my normal breakfast. Same thing around dinner time. I have to say, I have had to go to the restroom more than usual today. I also noticed I had a lot more energy than usual. I do believe it helps to breakdown the food you eat faster than it normally would. I haven't had any bad side effects yet, although I am a little disappointed that I was still hungry all day and ate my normal 1800 cals as usual. Will have to wake another week or two to see how my pants fit, but so far it's a thumbs up for me.
vicki: it worked for me.. of course i combined it with a healthy diet and cardio 45 mins a day. drink lots of water and use akavar to help you lose the weight .
FiFi: I am not happy that it does not control my apetite as others say. I still feel hungry and eat as usual. Day7 and I did not loose weight. I will give it a chance...its not a miracle pill right. I have also notice that I use the bathroom more often although I did not increase my fluid intake. Day8 I got my menstrual period and notice that the flow did not start until the next day, which does not usually happen to me. I also noticed that I got my tummy aches only after (taking the pills and) the meal. However, Day9 I have decided to walk for about an hour a day. The question is "Is Akaevar really working for Me?"
nikki: working for me, on day3,appetite less, some heart burn, frequent bathroom trips on day 1.will post again ina week.
Anonymous: I haven't read a single comment from any one who can say that they have been on Avakar for an appropriate period of time and have finally met their desired weight target. Something is definitely wrong here and doesn't add up. I guess common sence and a proper diet and exercise regime is the only way. There are no miracle cures or formula's. Its the lazy ones that are getting ripped off as they continue to believe that by sitting down and taking a pill all is going to work out. Sto day dreaming and get on that thread mill !!!
Loretta: It's me again. I started akavar on 1/27 Sunday. This is day 3 and I have already lost 4 & 1/2 pounds. I feel more energized and I am not able to eat very much. I am really impressed so far. I can't weight till this sunday to weigh in again. It seems to really be working for me. I need to lose aprox. 175 pounds. I will keep every one posted. Has anyone ever been on for extended length. I would like to hear from you if so. Good luck everyone who is struggling with weight problems.
Anonymous: Hello Folks! Its 1-29-08 and I have started on the Akavar Pill Challenge LOL. :) O plan to update daily so here it goes: Day 1 have taken both sering as directed and toltally felt the empact of the pill as my craving were GONE, Imean I could even finish breakfast or lunch...I have not felt any jitters or anxiety.. just alert and feel good. I plean to weigh myself @the end of the week....
Sara Ashley: I started Akavar yesterday. Only took 1 pill before a meal. Didn't do too much so I stepped it up today and took 1 in the morning then 2 before lunch. Okay so my stomach is in a knot, I am at work and get bathroom shy if you know what I mean but I've had to go at least 3 times so far. Is that good...? I don't know. I am also on a detox stage where I eat only veggies and fruits. That may have something to do with it. I weigh 143 on a bad day so my ideal weight is 125. So can I lose 18 pounds with a healthy diet and exercise?...SURE. Will Akavar help...? So far I can sense a difference but I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is good. I know we all vary but I hate feeling crappy. I've drank nothing but water. Have you ever drank nothing but water and lots of it to where you feel sickened of the thought of water? Well today I did! My hunger has lessened quite a bit. Will I lose weight?, I am almost positive I will. Do I work out...Not often enough. I have such a busy schedule that I fit in what I can when I can. To everyone expecting to actually eat what they want and still lose weight like Akavar states, You already have the wrong mentality. You should take a diet supplement in hopes of lessening your hunger habits and try to eat better and do more active things. Any diet supplement will help you if you try to stay healthy. The problem with Americans is they think they can be saved from a pill and continue on with their unhealthy ways. Can't be done! You eventually gain the weight back. So discipline yourself. Set goals, use the pill to HELP you lose weight not depend on it being the only that that will make you lose weight! With enough will power you can reach your goals! It's tuff so good luck.
Anonymous: Just out of curiosity has anyone taking the akavar tried drinking just the two glasses of water before the meal without taking the pill. I bet you find that you'll get the same results. Water fills us up and satisfies us when we think we're hungry. Drink 2 glasses each time and cut out night eats and you'll do your body good! And loose weight if you give it four our five days. Your cravings will go away too...Just stick to it !!!
Jud: A friend of mine told me she had lost 10 or so pounds on Akavar.I had lost 40 pounds last year but through November and December, I gained 15 pounds back. Disgusted with throwing out the hard work I had done to lost the weight, I knew I had to tighten up and take it back off. But, as discouraged as I was, I kept turning back to food. So, I picked up some Avakat with a Christmas Gift Card (that way i wasn't out any money). I have been using Akavar for about 3 weeks now, and I love it. I have lost 13 pounds and almost gotten to where I was before I slipped up! I snack less, only getting hungry around actual meal times. I definitely feel the energy boost, although have also had a couple of the above mentioned "bathroom days". I am on my second bottle, but I plan on stopping after they are gone and keeping it going on my own. I agree with the others that say you can't believe the "Eat all you want" ad line, but it really does work as a diet supplement. I will post my final results after the bottle is gone.
Anonymous: i love this stuff. i have always been active, and had pretty good eating habits, but my weight was only maintained. With this, i am loosing weight, feeling reat, and looking my best ever. i highly reccomend it!
Anonymous: I wondering if i can take the AKAVAR pill whith ALLI pill
Anonymous: I have been taking Akavar for 3 days now. I DO NOT drink a glass of water with the pills. I take them the same way I take every other pill. I take it with water and drink normaly throughout the day. I dont know if I have lost any weight yet but I dont feel hungry and cant eat as much as I could before. After I take one it takes about 30 minutes and it feels like all I have just eaten hits bottom and I have to use the restroom alot more. I am sure this is partly what this pill is designed to do. I dont have the jitters and I have not had any trouble sleeping yet. So far I like what its doing for me. Comments about the glass of water being the reason you feel full are false of course as was mentioned before, everyone is diffrent and they will have diffrent results for diffrent people. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can loose the wt. I am looking to loose!!
Loretta: i can't believe how well i am doing while taking these pills. it's not been a week yet and i have already lost 8lbs. it's great!!!!!! i will post again on sunday when my week is up.
Anonymous: i will begin taking akavar next week and i will post my experience when im done
FiFi: Only after Day11 that I began to notice I have less apetite. I have also lost some weight, but I have been walking every day for 1 hour.
Taylor: Hey everyone. I read that someone had asked whether or not someone had been taking AKAVAR for a while and reached their goal weight within a reasonable amount of time. Well, after one of the most amazing times of my life, being engaged, getting married to only find out I was pregnant with my daughter and eventually giving birth to her, I was overweight. I'm 5'3, normally around 115 lbs and after childbirth, stepped on the scale to see that I'd gained about 35 lbs. Before giving birth, my doctor told me with exercise and diet, I'd be sure to lose whatever weight I'd gained in no time, but since I model, I needed the weight to come off quicker so I could get back to work. I had no stretch marks or anything like that. A friend of mine had been living in Europe for a while, and she recommended I try AKAVAR. I hesitantly agreed, because I never really wanted to be on diet pills. Well, not too long after she sent them, my water broke, I gave birth and ended up fracturing my hip, so I was pretty much bedridden and limited to light exercise. I wasn't breast feeding, so I decided to start taking the pills. Well, after a rough first day of going to the bathroom and feeling a little dizzy, it was all good. I lost 6 pounds in the first week without any major changes to my diet and limited exercise. A week later, another 6 pounds. The next week, 4 pounds. And the next and next until almost three months later, and I weigh less than before, I'm 112 now. I have a high caffeine tolerance, so I took both pills with water before I ate. (Children will put you on a schedule, so I knew when I was eating) I also prepared my own food, mostly steamed or baked items. I cut fried food out, but still ate chocolate and sweets, when I felt like it (in moderation). When my hip was better, I began working out, light resistance training, cardio and a lot of power walking. I was surprised at how much I didnt want to eat initially, but I did drink slim fast shakes in the morning...(I've always done that since I dont like breakfast food). My lunch was vegetarian with some protein from tofu or beans, etc. My dinner was a little heavier, like a piece of meat, with rice and veggies. I also love to eat sushi, and I missed it so much when I was pregnant. Besides, any dietician will tell you that sushi is pretty harmless. So that's my story. Now that I'm where I want to be weight-wise, I simply take one pill a day and have seen no problems in gaining or losing more weight. I would recommend that you might the right choice for you, to not take what I did and assume it would work for you...like someone else said, people are different. My advice is that you help the pill along, if you can't exercise either because it's too painful or you are injured, make small changes in your diet. If you dont want to change your diet, make small changes in your physical routine, like walking up stairs instead of taking the elevator, or parking further away from the store and walking rather than looking for a close parking space. I had a newborn baby as a little resistance weight until I was fully healed. That's my story though, hope it helps.
maria: hello! I am 17 years old! I started to take Avakar today! I took 1 pill in the morning , 15 minutes before i ate , and another in the evening! I want to eat more now, and i fill dizzy, and my heart fills weard! I ganed 2pound today!
Loretta: Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know, my week is up and I weighed in at 312.6 this morning. I started out at 321. I officially lost 9 pounds in 1 week. I am so amazed with this product. I can't wait to see how I do this week. I can't wait till I step on the scales and see that 299 under the 300 pound mark. I will update later.
Michelle: Loretta, please email me, I just started taking Akavar and have about the same amount of weight to lose as you and I would like if we could keep in touch to compare results, and to just talk about how it's going. Please email me at blisss@gmail.com Thank you.
rachael: I've been taking avakar for 3 months now and i've lost 54lbs, only 15lbs more to go, I'm so excited! THANK YOU SO MUCH AKAVAR!!
Anonymous: I took my first pill yesterday evening about 5 pm and now it's 3 am and I still can't sleep, anyone else like this?
Darla: Hi everyone. I just started Akavar today ~ 2/4/08. I will let you know the results in one week. Im excited and positive that it will work!
Anonymous: I think its hilarious that 1/2 the people on here can't even spell, and duh, it has caffeine in it! Would you drink 2 cups of coffee before bed and then complain that you couldn't sleep?!
trell: Hi, I started akavar today and it has given me energy. I am not one to lie about supplements because I have been very disappointed in the past. I knowyou can not eat what you want be it is suppressing my apetite. I will post next week to tell my progress.
trell: started 2/5/08
Loretta: Michelle, my email is phillips.loretta08@gmail.com We can talk any time. It's nice to know that there is someone else trying to lose about the same. I am down to 311. I can't wait to get out of the 300's. Hopefully soon.
Anonymous: I've taken various diet pills for several years, and have just started using akavar a week ago. So far, it's been excellent for controlling appetite, but I haven't lost weight(note: I'm not eating Whatever I want, but the same amount as when I started taking it). My main concern with this--My heart feels like crap. I get flutters All the time. After seeing these reviews with not much of any other information about it to be found, I'm now done using it.
John: Hi Loretta, congratulations on your weight loss! I was given a bottle of Avakar as a gift, but haven't used it yet since I have high blood pressure and acid reflux disease. I want to get doctor approval first. But anyway, can you please tell me if you've had any side effects from taking this product and how many pills are you taking each day? I weigh 300 lbs and hoping to try the product soon. Thank You!
Misty Lyons: Hi All! The main reason I wanted to post is for you ppl who are complaining about "gaining weight" while you take this pill and WORKOUT. You need to keep in mind that MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!! So if you are gaining muscle mass then yes you may look like you are gaining weight but you are not gaining FAT! So before you say that it does not work you need to have your body mass index done by a Dr. I also suggest that you have your BMI done before you start this so that you can see the difference I just started AKAVAR 20/50 today. I have tried just about everything to lose weight all my life. The first thing that I found out once I took this pill is that it does make me feel very full, I only take 1 pill 15-20 mins b4 I eat. I am drinking more water and watching what I eat; I will post more after I finish the bottle.
Anonymous: The end of my first week is Sun 02/10/08 Sun. I am stopping today after 6 days because of being vary dizzy. And losing balance
Anonymous: 2/10/08 Just started to take capsules 3-days ago and feeling great! I also have been diagnosed with reflux disease and had to try something. I have cut out fatty foods and more protein, plenty of water because of a burning sensation in the stomach. I know that I have lost about 4-5 pounds but will visit the doctor and report back. I just had a colonscopy and sick of pill doctor bills -- simply need to lose weight. You have to help yourself (exercise and watch what you eat) and the pills will assist you. My goal is to lose 40 lbs in 3 months.
Jones: Starting tomorrow – 2/11/08. Need to lose about 20 pounds to be content and 30 to get back to 134 lbs. like I did 20 years ago. I'm hoping this works in time for summer. I'm 43, 5'6" tall and have only really put the last 20 lbs. on in the past 5 years. My husband could never take this since he has high blood pressure and gets heart palpations even from coffee. He doesn't need it anyway. If I get a little extra energy then that would just be a plus since since turning 40 it seems like my energy levels have plummeted. I will check back in next Sunday evening with an update. I hope I'm not disappointed, especially after reading some of the "bad" reviews. I don't have any really bad habits except for snacking in the evenings about 2 hours after dinner. I'm thinking this and eating the same portions as my husband is what has finally caught up with me. I've typically had a pretty good metabolism up until now and just about any diet has been effective, but now my system just seems to have come to a standstill. I have an older sister who experienced the same thing at forty and gained a lot more weight than me. I intend to nip this in the bud now and will advise her also if this goes well. Ta, Ta for now.
Anonymous: Started taking Akavar on the 27 of Jan.2008, by Feb.11 2008, I could fit into jeans one size smaller. i don't know what is working but i noticed that I do eat less, which is probably why I am losing weight but when I do eat I do eat what I want, I don't feel bloated all the time after I eat like I used to. After I noticed the smaller jeans I have began to change my eating habits so maybe thats anothee reason I am losing weight, mainly because I don't want to be back into the larger jeans.
Miss Tiffanie: I only take 1 pill a day due to I get nervous with to mush caffine. I seem to look like I am lose`n weight. I actuall eat a LOT and I am never full(GOD HONEST TRUTH) but with this pill I actually feel full so far. I love to eat now but since I have been taking the pill I feel full. I have been eating out every day-->tried to only eat subs which get me full now. I also take it on a empty stomach and I feel ok. No side affects really that I notice. I do walk on my walker 20 min a day. Try to walk more but I got a 1yr old. I will write back to give info.... I havent got on a scale yet but I will today and give results tmrw. well I think the pill is excellent. It seems to be great. I just dont think u can eat all you want and lose weight but damn how much could one person eat. I also only drink water and diet drinks anyways so that is a plus for looseing weight.
J: It's day three (3) on Akavar. So far I've noticed a slight buzz of energy along with dizziness. Couldn't sleep last night because I took it a couple hours before bed. My hunger has gone down alot - this morning my stomache was growling, but I didn't feel really hungry (but I ate a bagel to shut it up). I'm not sure it's the miracle pill everyone wants. The safest and most incredible way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise. Doing it that way not only makes you lose fat, it gives you natural energy without a bad buzz, it makes you stronger, it helps not only your body look good but it helps your brain and heart, and not to mention the strength you'll recieve emotionally by getting there the road less taken. Everyone is out for the quick fix, the pills and surgery. Think I'm a hypocrit for saying so when I'm taking a diet pill? I'm testing them for the affects for logging purposes. The scary thing I've noticed so far with all pills is that in order for it stay this way, you have to never come off it - like a crutch for life. People think "Yay, I've lost the weight, goodbye pill." and they gain it back. That's because they never truly learned what a healthy life style is. It isn't hard to live healthy - why be so lazy to being concious of what you eat and do everyday that can make a world of difference, when it's YOUR life? Even greater, if you're a parent, when it's your CHILD(REN)'s life? Life's happiness never came in a bottle, in a pill. What were ever the bad side affects to a healthy life style? Nothing, ever.
Sandie: I started using Akavar yesterda.02/10/08. At first i took 2 pills at lunch. then i felt very energized. but after all that sometime in the middle of the day. i started to feel a little dizzy and weird. and night time wasnt any better. could hardly sleep. but i am cutting it down to just one pill before meals. I desperatly need to lose weight. i am 21 yrs old and weigh 198pds after having my daughter almost 3 yrs ago. of course i weighed less after i gave birth. i was around 178 last year in the summer but gained more. so i am giving this a try. i will post in again in a week.
Rob: 35lbs overweight- I suffer terribly from IBS, akavar for some reason totally releived these symptoms. I'm also a terrible overeater, and this has given me great confidence, I eat 1500 cal's a day, ride my bike for 4miles/15min a day. Never hungry, not looking for snacks. Kinda been awake late though. Not weighing myself but the clothes feel better already. Its working for me. But were all different right?
Ken: I've just started the diet but think I have a helpful hint for those who incur jitteriness. This is probably common sense but I've figured out that if I take the pill and just sit around I get the jitters really bad but if I get up and do something it displaces the extra energy and I don't notice it as bad. I know they say in the ad that you don't have to exercise but you need to do something. This might be a good time to paint the house or start your spring cleaning a bit early. Let me tell you, since I've started taking Akavar I've got the cleanest hardwood floors in my neighborhood! I have a new house so I've nothing to remodel or paint, but I sure have energy now to clean everything within an inch of its life!!
loretta: Hi, I have been sick so I haven't been on the computer. Nothing to do with akavar. This pill is wonderful. I have highblood pressure and cholesterol among other problems. Now that I am feeling some shat better I will start taking akavar again in themorning. I stopped because of being so sick I have had the flu and every other thing I could catch. I will keep everyone posted. Good luck.
FiFi: HINTS for the pill to fully work. #1. Do not nibble right before taking your meal. #2. Do not start your meal before the full 15 minutes have passes. #3. Do not postpone the urge to go to the restroom.
Carrie: I think Loretta's progress is inspirational. Keep up the good work there, Girlfriend! I am a 37 year old wife and mother who works and goes to law school. I got out of the medical field after 10 years because it simply wasn't for me. I bought this product yesterday and am using it for the first time today. So far I have a lot of energy and no heartburn. I will be dieting and lightly exercising too. Every January through May I lose approximately 45 pounds and every June through December I gain back fifty. I hope to keep it off for good this time after I lose it. It's true that everything affects different people in different ways. But to the two people who claim they had blackouts and woke up in places with no idea how they got there: Are you kidding? Were you drunk also at the time? That doesn't just happen. Side effects I can buy into such as heartburn, heart palapitations even. But blackouts? Come on. The Brooklyn bridge is already sold but I think the Golden Gate might still be available. (Ha, Ha) Stop trying to scare people. I think it is a good idea to start slow though until you do know how it will affect you. For instance, I only took one pill and that's all I will take for a least a month. Then if I build a tolerance to it I'll go to two a day maybe. Loretta, once again, I am inspired by your success. Congratulations and keep up the good work.
Anonymous: I have tried taking twice and the last time I ended up in the emergency room. Both times I had severe stomach pain that lasted for about 3 days. Think I'm done with it.
curlysue: I started taking Akavar yesterday. It made me feel extremely full before I even ate and when I started to eat, I could only eat a few bites. I felt like I would vomit if I ate anymore than that. Today, it is the same. I love it! I will update!
Misty: I have been on Akavar for about 3 weeks now. To be honest with everyone I have skipped a few days due to some hectic times here. I just wanted to say that I have lost about 6lbs and a little advise for everyone, especially those of you who are like me and are not eating very much, you may want to consider taking a daily vitamin and protein supplement due to if you do not get enough vitamins and protein your body will go in to starvation mode and all that you do eat will be stored as fat and you will not be loosing FAT but loosing muscle mass instead.
Loretta: Hey everyone, I am 37yrs old and I have 2 teenage boy's. I have been married 18yrs. Today is 2/17/08 I started back on akavar this morning. I have retained alot of fluid due to being sick and not taking my medication like I am supposed to. I weighed in this morning at 314lbs. My feet are swollen to were I couldn't ware my tennis shoes. My hands and face are the same way. But I will get back on track. I was throwing up so much that my medicine would not stay down. I didn't just stop taking my prescribed medicine. I am feeling mu7ch better though.
Christopher : I bought my Akavar in the second week of January and I can honestly say that I loved the results at first. I lost between 9-11 pounds in the first 3 weeks. I have cut down taking them the last week and a half because I have been having some horrible nightmares when I can finally fall asleep. I can only sleep maybe 4 hrs anight and that isnt in a row. I'll sleep maybe an hour or 2 before I wake up from some horrible nightmares. With anything you have to be very careful and honestly research the product from sites like these and most importantly check with a doctor. Good Luck to all and I hope you have great results with this product. I will be changing to another product today because of my side effects!
Amanda: Hey everyone! I just bought these pills. And I am not that "overweight" but yes, after having 2 kids and laying around, naturally, I have gained weight. I used to be very active and weighed 125 pounds. After I gave birth to my second child, I had LOADS of trouble getting the weight off. I ran track in high school, so I know what it takes, as I said, was very active. But now, my husband is in the US Navy, and I run with him in the mornings. He is now on deployment, and I've been pretty stressed lately, and got out of running. Need to get that weight off before he comes home in 6 months. I will post again, if I have results...THANKS!!
Amanda: I just recently bought these pills. Will post my weight in one week. As of today, I weigh 176 pounds. Need to be back down to about 125...wish me luck!!
cn: tying it... gabe me a headache and i can't sleep
J: Hey everyone! I just started taking the pills yesterday. I am sure I haven't lost any weight, but I definitely have less of an appetite....And I have a BIG appetite! I do feel rather weird though. A little dizzy...my head feels strange. I hope this stuff works and is safe. I'm not used to caffeine; I only drink water normally. I just stopped taking a pill called Crevax. I was on it for 2 weeks. Like most diet pills, it promised results, but I didn't see any. Actually a 2 pound weight gain with those, even though I was wor
