Tapeworm Diet

This dangerous parasite is banned in the U.S.

Top Rated Diet Pills of 2024
BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Eating cabbage soup for two weeks. Exercising three times day. Drinking water with lemon juice and cayenne pepper for 10 days. We can all admit to going to great lengths, even if just once, to lose those unwanted pounds. But the Tapeworm Diet has to get as extreme and desperate as the world of dieting tricks and methods come. The good news is that importing or selling tapeworms in the U.S. is illegal. Tapeworms though, do occur in undercooked beef or raw meat dishes which are prone to contamination.

So what does a tapeworm in your gut actually do? It secretes proteins in our intestinal tract that make our digestion of food much less efficient. A less efficient digestive systems means that you can consume more calories through your food since your "body guest" is also noshing on them for his own growth purposes. Some scientists estimate that those infected with a single tapeworm can lose up to one or two pounds each week. Certain tapeworms can be downright lethal like a pork tapeworm, but for beef tapeworms, you can clear up an infection by taking a dose of antibiotics.

Some diet gimmicks have created tapeworm pills but since then the FDA has intervened and banned these unsubstantiated and dangerous products.

Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?

PROPRO
  • Weight loss is pretty much guaranteed
  • A scientist in Japan believes that tapeworms can also help clear up allergies like hay fever
CONCON
  • Can be deadly
  • Banned by the FDA
  • Medical intervention may be needed to get rid of the tapeworm
  • There are side effects to having a tapeworm
  • Can't purchase or import one
  • Once you get rid of the tapeworm, you risk putting weight back if you continue eating like you have a tapeworm
DIET and NUTRITIONDIET and NUTRITION

The Tapeworm Diet is anything but a diet. Since a sizable percentage of what you eat goes to the tapeworm, it's a virtual dieter's dream: eat whatever you want and lose weight. Taking extra vitamins during an infection might help to prevent the massive nutrient loss. Following an infection, all those lost pounds can be easily put back on if you don't follow a healthy eating plan for just you and not your parasite.

TREATMENTTREATMENT

Treatment for getting rid of a tapeworm varies from grotesque to the less grotesque. A strong course of antibiotics is prescribed to get rid of the tapeworm.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

Let us truly be thankful for the great strides in the hygienic practices of our farms and slaughterhouses and in our water supply. Even though our bodies have evolutionarily become used to being hosts to a myriad of parasites, our modern day ways have no doubt helped us to stay healthier and live longer. Voluntarily ingesting a tapeworm to lose weight is legally a difficult thing to pull off, not to mention dangerous. Your safer and less uncomfortable way to shed some pounds is probably heeding the advice of science and research: Consume less calories and stay active. Needless to say, this is one approach to weight loss that is not smart nor safe and should not be persued by anyone.

How can any one in there right mind do something like this? To have a worm growing in your body.!?! You should check out a show called 1000 Ways to Die... there was a woman that injested one of these worms, she had a large amount of weight to loose (100 plus) she wanted to get into a size 6 dress... she did... they buried her in it! Now let me also tell you I also have a large amount of weight to loose.(90 lbs) I would never consider swallowing something like that. And I have seen desperation in myself... do it the right way . get off your butt ,exersize and eat right. I've done this and lost 10 lbs since the 1st of the year. Good Luck

Antihelminthics, NOT antibiotics.

Antibiotics kill bacteria.
Antihelminthics kill parasites.

The best one for a tapeworm infestation is Praziquantel at 10mg/kg of body weight.

PLEASE, be careful.

I would try it, if I knew for sure that after
90 days I could take something to kill
it. I have tried everything to lose 50lbs.
I'd rather die than to stay 190lbs.

I am desperatly trying to find a sterile beef tapeworm.
not for weightloss but because my partner has an immune condition which causes his ige levels to work at around 5000%- similar to total allergy syndrome
our doctor cannot get hold of one although she thinks it may be an idea, we have tried getting him on medical trials taking place with the tapeworm but he is not well enough, he is on huge amounts of steriods a day which are slowly killing him- along with nasty effects like oesteoporosis and diabeties etc.
the tape worm may actually sort his immune system out- there are a few studies which show this may be the case. in short WE ARE DESPERATE!
I ahve looked at this place in mexico and if I cannot find anywhere in the uk who will let us get a tapewormwe will have to do it .. if anyone knows of anybody who can get me a sterile beef tapeworm suitable in the UK please let me know...
ta muchly

I would love to try this diet... the legal issues aren't relevant... what are they going to do? cut you open to see if you injested a worm? Anyway... this would be the perfect diet. combined with excersize???!!! Muscle without waiting for the weight loss!!!

Wow, I've heard of this but I always thought it was a lie. People do way more outrageous things...tape worms aren't as crazy as someone splitting open your belly and chopping away half your stomache. i'm interested in this "diet", purely for educational reasons. . . :)

I've done heard it all!

Un-freakin-believable! This is absolutely disgusting! And degrading to the human body to do something like this intentionally. I think it has got to be one of the nastiest things I've ever heard someone use just to try to lose weight. I am absolutely disturbed by this. Gross.

I wish I could get hold of a tapeworm. Think about the benefits. weigh lose, managing your eating habits, great US meds to get rid of it. then the benefits of healthy lifestyle and low cholesterol.

Are people CRAZY!? I googled this subject in order to write a short paper on parasitic flatworms and diseases it can cause in people. I have been studying these things for quite a while and cannot comprehend how DESPERATE people can be. Thanks for some great info though.

That is so gross. I run a sheep ranch and have seen many a tapeworm expelled after the sheep are wormed and that just is not something I want growing inside me. concernedelectron is right too, antibiotics won't kill the worms. You have to take a dewormer for that, but it takes a hefty dose to kill tapeworms. Not to mention, should you injest the worms at the wrong stage of development, they travel to your brain instead of your intestines. where they proceed to give you massive headaches for a while, and then eventually kill you. Guess they didn't tell you about that down in Brazil eh? It's a rather common form of death down in Central and South America, generally from eating meat tainted with feces.
