Tapeworm Diet

This dangerous parasite is banned in the U.S.

Top Rated Diet Pills of 2024
BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Eating cabbage soup for two weeks. Exercising three times day. Drinking water with lemon juice and cayenne pepper for 10 days. We can all admit to going to great lengths, even if just once, to lose those unwanted pounds. But the Tapeworm Diet has to get as extreme and desperate as the world of dieting tricks and methods come. The good news is that importing or selling tapeworms in the U.S. is illegal. Tapeworms though, do occur in undercooked beef or raw meat dishes which are prone to contamination.

So what does a tapeworm in your gut actually do? It secretes proteins in our intestinal tract that make our digestion of food much less efficient. A less efficient digestive systems means that you can consume more calories through your food since your "body guest" is also noshing on them for his own growth purposes. Some scientists estimate that those infected with a single tapeworm can lose up to one or two pounds each week. Certain tapeworms can be downright lethal like a pork tapeworm, but for beef tapeworms, you can clear up an infection by taking a dose of antibiotics.

Some diet gimmicks have created tapeworm pills but since then the FDA has intervened and banned these unsubstantiated and dangerous products.

Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?

PROPRO
  • Weight loss is pretty much guaranteed
  • A scientist in Japan believes that tapeworms can also help clear up allergies like hay fever
CONCON
  • Can be deadly
  • Banned by the FDA
  • Medical intervention may be needed to get rid of the tapeworm
  • There are side effects to having a tapeworm
  • Can't purchase or import one
  • Once you get rid of the tapeworm, you risk putting weight back if you continue eating like you have a tapeworm
DIET and NUTRITIONDIET and NUTRITION

The Tapeworm Diet is anything but a diet. Since a sizable percentage of what you eat goes to the tapeworm, it's a virtual dieter's dream: eat whatever you want and lose weight. Taking extra vitamins during an infection might help to prevent the massive nutrient loss. Following an infection, all those lost pounds can be easily put back on if you don't follow a healthy eating plan for just you and not your parasite.

TREATMENTTREATMENT

Treatment for getting rid of a tapeworm varies from grotesque to the less grotesque. A strong course of antibiotics is prescribed to get rid of the tapeworm.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

Let us truly be thankful for the great strides in the hygienic practices of our farms and slaughterhouses and in our water supply. Even though our bodies have evolutionarily become used to being hosts to a myriad of parasites, our modern day ways have no doubt helped us to stay healthier and live longer. Voluntarily ingesting a tapeworm to lose weight is legally a difficult thing to pull off, not to mention dangerous. Your safer and less uncomfortable way to shed some pounds is probably heeding the advice of science and research: Consume less calories and stay active. Needless to say, this is one approach to weight loss that is not smart nor safe and should not be persued by anyone.

The sad thing about you people who would use this diet is that you don't care about yourselfs. As soon as you get rid of the tapeworm you will gain double the weight you loss. I happen to be sience major. Some people say they are addicted to food, that is just you using an excuse. Pretty sad acutally. Maybe one day you will realize you are better than that, until then you will have a bad life and loveing yourself. I know I lost 40lbs all by myself and I have seizures that have been helped alot because I put my effort trying to stop them. Love yourself.

I have had binge eating problems for 8 years. I have done the exercising and eating healthy. I hate how people say to just exercise and eat right when you have an eating DISORDER. It is impossible. I lost 30 pounds last year doing it and I went litterally crazy and ended up in a mental hospital. So don't say it like it's nothing at all. For someone who is obsessed with food to just take it out of their lives will cause a lot of trauma. People with eating problems like mine may find this diet to be a dream come true. I have not tried it yet. I'm going to attempt to eat a little raw beef everyday and see how it goes. Beef tapeworms are harmless, so I've read. Actually I've read that they can be good! I don't consider this extreme at all. There are worse things Americans have done to lose weight, I don't understand why the tapeworm is illegal. Illiegalize diet pills man, there's something that actually needs to go.

Why do it?

its dangerous, uncontrolled and its unpredictable. everyone here says they have done the research, but are you a doctor? no, if you were you would know this is not a safe diet. so some people here had luck. whats to say the little buggers arent eating your insides? people are killed by tapeworms, so why would u want to put yourself at risk? excersize and eating right is the best way to lose weight. get off the couch and get active! thats the best way to lose weight, dieting actually puts on weight most of the time

That's just being lazy! :( Get you bum off the damn couch, and do something about it! That's really sad, to be that desperate to do something so stupid. Don't you know these diets could kill you! Maybe you might get to the size you want, but heck you not going to live long enough to see yourself the way you wanted! :(

GIRLS!!! If you want to lose weight, just cut your calories and watch what you eat!! I used to weigh 275 and I'm 6 feet tall. I cut my calories to 1200 a day, and NEVER felt hungry and I lost 95 pounds this way!!! I did start to exercise near the end, but just because I wanted a little more muscle tone. Yeah it may take a while, for me it was about a year, but it's worth it. AND I've kept it off. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Just believe in yourself, cheat every two weeks, and FEEL BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am seriously interested in this diet. It seems so simple!
My biology teacher went over these little buggers in class and they don't seem all that bad, as long as they don't reproduce.
I would kill to get my hands on one!

Folks, when will the world ever get it straight that the only way to lose weight is diet and exercise, and that means burning more calories than you consume.

A loss of 1-2 pounds a week is what you want. Maybe up to 3 if you are aggressive with diet and exercise. But no faster.

The tapeworm would only amount to starving yourself, and that's no way to do it.

Bottom line- five small meals every day is the way to go. Never be hungry. Never overeat. Eat protein, vegetables, complex carbs, and a little bit of fruit. Take a multivitamin. Lift weights three days, do cardio on two days, and do yoga and/or flexibility work on two days every week.

Set your calorie intake to have a deficit of about 600 calories. Your deficit will be based on a maintenance level of about 12 times your body weight in pounds plus exercise burn, which is about 600 calories for an average sized person with an hour of vigorous exercise.

Good grief. Just take good care of yourselves, people.
