Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I know Tv can make anything appear in the negative but.... Jillian needs to take a basic sports psych class! She constantly yells and as a last resort has a conversation with the contestants, resulting in a positive outcome. Come on! To ge tthe optimal performance out of people do not treat them all the same. Ask any successful coach!

i need help, my son is over 200lbs and i am afraid for his life, and i can not get him to eat right or to exercise.... please Jillian i need your help... he said if i join him on the biggest loser show he would do it to to lose weight, can you please help him.. please!!!!!!

I just love the Biggest Loser. I am a big woman myself and let me tell you watching this season has brought tears to my eyes every episode. With the finale tonight I cried almost the entire time. Jillian is the best I am going to join her website and work to lose the weight I need too. Thank you to all the contestents on the Biggest Loser you guys have been an ispiration to me. i watch the show all the time and it is just the greatest. if i could have anything in the world it wood be that you were my trainer iam so glad that their are people out there that get to do this and be on this show but that so thing's just will never happen to people like me very small town i will alwas be a fat girl but hey just as long as i can see other people get help that make the day so keep on keeping on and god bless you. you are the greatest.

i love the biggest looser i watch it all the time, i have tried every diet and pill , but i that the weight can come off. i would love to be a contestant on the biggest looser. jillian you are the very best .

I agree with Linda Gay Hobson. there are older people who would like to lose weight but have some disabilities that prevent strenous exercise. We need help and suggestions for what we can do within our limitations.
