Biggest Loser Season 9: Meet the New Contestants

The Biggest Loser is getting bigger as it prepares to start its ninth season. For the second time, 22 new overweight and obese contestants will put their stamina, willpower and strength to the test on the Biggest Loser ranch.biggest loser 9 contestants

Biggest Loser season nine is another families edition of NBC’s hit show, with 11 teams of two consisting of parents, siblings, cousins and spouses.

Facing the wrath of Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, with host Alison Sweeney leading the charge, these 22 contestants will set-out on the journey of lifetime to rebuild their strength, lose weight and regain their health, while also inspiring and motivating a nation.

The newest batch of Biggest Loser contestants are:

Black Team: Darrell Hough and Andrea Hough, father and daughter. Darrell is a 46-year-old press operator and mechanic with a starting weight of 413 pounds. Andrea is a 24-year-old executive assistant with a starting weight of 298 pounds. The two reside in Ann Arbor, MI.

Brown Team: John Crutchfield and James Crutchfield, twin brothers. John is a 30-year-old senior reporting manager with a starting weight of 484 pounds. James is a 30-year-old human resources director with a starting weight of 485 pounds. The two reside in Orlando, FL.

Red Team: Lance Morgan and Melissa Morgan, husband and wife. Lance is a 37-year-old rancher with a starting weight of 365. Melissa is a 39-year-old attorney with a starting weight of 233 pounds. The two reside in Aspermont, TX.

White Team: Maria Ventrella and Michael Ventrella, mother and son. Maria is a 51-year-old corporate travel agent with a starting weight of 281 pounds. Michael is a 30-year-old deejay with a starting weight of 526 pounds. This makes him the heaviest contestant in the show’s history. The two reside in Chicago, IL.

Green Team: Miggy Cancel and Migdaila Sebren, mother and daughter. Miggy is a 47-year-old chef with a starting weight of 240 pounds who resides in Pemberton, NJ. Migdaila is a 28-year-old homemaker with a starting weight of 265 who resides in Sanford, NC.

Yellow Team: O’Neal Hampton, Jr. and SunShine Hampton, father and daughter. O’Neal is a 50-year-old USPS station manager with a starting weight of 389 pounds. SunShine is a 23-year-old restaurant server with a starting weight of 275 pounds. The two reside in Minneapolis, MN.

Purple Team: Patti Anderson and Stephanie Anderson, mother and daughter. Patti is a 55-year-old business owner with a starting weight of 243 pounds who resides in Lafayette, CA. Stephanie is a 29-year-old radio sales executive with a starting weight of 264 pounds who resides in West Hollywood, CA.

Grey Team: Sam Poueu and Koli Palu, cousins. Sam is a 23-year-old volunteer football coach and security guard with a starting weight of 372 pounds. Koli is a 28-year-old football coach and head of security with a starting weight of 403 pounds. The two reside in Rohnert Park, CA.

Pink Team: Sherry Johnston and Ashley Johnston, mother and daughter. Sherry is a 51-year-old non-profit admin with a starting weight of 218 pounds. Ashley is a 27-year-old spa manager and esthetician with a starting weight of 374 pounds. The two reside in Knoxville, TN.

Blue Team: Cherita Andrews and Vicky Andrews, mother and daughter. Vicky is a 22-year-old student with a starting weight of 358 pounds. Cherita is a 50-year-old homemaker with a starting weight of 277 pounds. The two reside in Houston, TX.

Orange Team: Cheryl George and Daris George, mother and son. Cheryl is a 50-year-old Sears Homestore owner with a starting weight 227. Daris is a 25-year-old deliveryman and salesman with a starting weight of 246 pounds. The two reside in Ardmore, OK.
