23 year old grad students trying to get my life back on track.
The goals I'm working toward:
- losing my sleep apnea
- being able to enjoy a theme park
- being happy with myself
I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:
It was about 6th or 7th grade when I realized that being larger than everyone else was affecting how people treated me. So from then, I suppose.
My favorite healthy food:
I love fruit. strawberries, watermelon, pineapple, all of it. And Some veggies too, like baby carrots and raw green bell pepper.
My guiltiest pleasure:
Probably candies and fast food.
I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:
I believe that becoming healthier will help me find the footing to like myself and realize that there are positive things about me, not only negative. I also want to lose weight to hopefully get rid of my sleep apnea.
Healthy habits that work for me:
- Stopped drinking soda and only drink water and milk.
- Plan ahead and research healthy recipes.
- Pack veggies and fruit for snacks while at work.
My favorite activity at the gym is:
My favorite right now is the treadmill, but I'm working on liking the elliptical.
The accomplishments I'm most proud of:
- Graduating college.
- Being selected as the distinguished graduate for my degree.
- Getting accepted to grad school.
