The goals I'm working toward:

  • Losing (another) 50 pounds
  • Working out at least 5 times a week

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

1995, after I had my second child. I went on the Depo shot and gained 50 pounds after he was born. I've managed to gain another 50 over the years, and through two more pregnancies. I've lost 50 pounds since August 2010, but still want to lose at least 50 more.

My favorite healthy food:

any kind of fresh fruit

My guiltiest pleasure:

I have a terrible sweet tooth, that's why fruits are my best friend.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

my first grandchild is due in November and I want to have the energy to keep up.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • drinking water
  • exercise every day
  • stay positive and try not to put myself down

My favorite activity at the gym is:

elliptical and bike. Our gym is pretty limited in equipment, so I started running....outdoors on nice days and inside on rainy or cold days.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • my 4 wonderful children
  • finishing my first 5K on June 18, 2011
  • completing Army basic training August 1989
