DIET and NUTRITION

The Body At Home eating plan includes a specific diet for men and women. Although the two plans differ in regards to overall calories (male diet is more calorie dense), there are many similarities such as eating every three hours, incorporating lean protein in every meal and snack, eating complex carbohydrates, drinking plenty of water, consuming omega-3 fats and a cheat day.

The diet for men and women includes eating three meals a day and three snacks. Body At Home also gives you a sample meal planner and suggestions for what kinds of supplements to take depending upon your age.

For a woman on the Body At Home program, a typical day might look like this: Vegetable frittata for breakfast, a whey protein shake for a snack, grilled ham and cheese with tomato soup for lunch, protein shake for an afternoon snack, a beef tenderloin salad for dinner and another whey protein shake for a bedtime snack. Proportion guidelines are provided for each meal and snack.

EXERCISE

Body At Home is includes two mini books: A plan for women and a plan for men. While the exercises may be different, the basic principles are the same for both sexes. The Body At Home fitness plan requires that you strength train three times a week for about 20 minutes at a time.

Each week, the exercises change so that you or your muscles never get bored. Both male and female plans include specific workout routines complete with what kinds of exercises to do, how many repetitions, and proper alignment and breathing techniques.

Even though the plan is based upon strength training, you are encouraged to engage in 20 minutes of cardio like brisk walking each morning on an empty stomach in order to accelerate loss of belly fat.

CONCLUSION

Body At Home, by Jorge Cruise, is a two-part at-home fitness guide. One part is targeted toward women and focuses on trimming down and toning trouble zones and the other part is targeted toward men and focuses on getting rid of a beer gut and achieving the perfect V-shape chest. Body At Home also comes with an eating plan.

Overall, this guide is a well-organized, thorough, budget-friendly and a time-efficient eight-week plan that will help you get in shape, lose weight and look great.

I'm not saying that it will not work, just that it is extremely boring and I couldn't stand counting to ten slowly for each exercise...thought I would lose my mind! Exercise must be FUN to keep one motivated!!!! ---HOWEVER...I do agree with his 3 hour eating rule. Eat every 3 hours but no more than the size of your hand and it will help your metabolism and appetite DRAMATICALLY!
