About Me:

I have had ten children, naturally born to me.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • When I was younger, I was able to keep my weight under control, but now I have a lot more trouble. I cannot seem to stay below 175 pounds (5' 9"), so I am trying Retiva now. I have been actively doing floor exercises using weight as well, trying to get down to 160 by May for my child's wedding.

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

About nine years or so.

My favorite healthy food:

Raw cabbage, especially when mixed into a lettuce salad

My guiltiest pleasure:

Symphony bars with toffee

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want to be a blessing to my family when I get older, and especially I want to live a long time to be able to keep taking care of my six year old that has autism. Oh - and then there is that awesome dress I want to get into for my daughter's wedding - :)

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Floor exercises - forget going to the gym - that does NOT happen, there isn't a spare second for that. Also, snacking on raw cabbage (it takes a while for your body to adjust to the gas produced, but eventually it does) and snacking on sunflower seeds.

My favorite activity at the gym is:

OK, I do swim at a gym once per week. I swim hard for about 15 minutes, and then I am completely worn out.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Once upon a time, two years ago, I used a book called "Firm Up in 3 Weeks". I followed the directions very carefully, and lost 15 pounds in three weeks. I am still proud of my self for that.
