The goals I'm working toward:

  • Need to lose 185 pounds
  • Maintaining a healthy weight

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

I became a mom. Started gaining really bad in 1993. Lost a lot when I worked at our local newspaper, but that is because I was eating so much less and working 12-16 hour days.

My favorite healthy food:

I love grilled veggies, Fugi apples, bananas, steamed veggies, lean turkey and skinless chicken . Whole grain stuff.

My guiltiest pleasure:

I've drank Diet Pepsi for years. But only for the caffeine. I guess veggie pizzas from Little Caesers or Pizza Hut, and sandwiches from Subway, would be my problem area.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

My aunt died at 77. I plan on living till I'm 100. And that can't happen at my current weight of 315. I'm only 5"7. And 40 years old.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Drink Dasani Water
  • Bought a Wii for the balance board exercises!
  • I bought a pair of Shape-Ups.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • My son
  • My time in the Navy
