Gorilla Runs

Primal Animal Workout

This starting position will be similar to the bear crawl position. The only difference is your butt will be sunk down toward the ground, almost in a deep squatting position. Your hands will also be closer to your body. Think about how you see gorillas sitting in their cages at the zoo. That’s what you need to do.

The motion for this will begin with reaching your hands out in front of you and then hopping your legs forward to meet back up with your hands. When reaching your hands forward your butt will naturally raise some, but it should not be as high in the air as it was with the bear crawls. Do this run at a quick pace until you’ve reached the other side of the room then turn around to come back the same way.
