Healthy Summer Sandwiches

Our taste for sandwiches has grown up. We want them healthier, we want them more satisfying, and we want them simpler. After all, it's summer, and we've got better things to do with our time than stand around making lunch all day.

We recently hosted a sandwich making party with all the fixings over the lunch hour and got a little creative. No ham and Swiss, no PBJ. Instead, hummus, strawberries, black bean dip, and basil were some of the ingredients that gave fresh new life to the lunch time staple.

Whether noon at home with the kids, packing a wagon for a day at the park, or celebrating a new baby or wedding, these sandwiches will make a delightful summer nosh.
