You decided it was too hard.

5 Resolution Excuses Busted

All the planning of meals, or counting calories, or waking up early to go for a run or head to the gym - it was all just too hard. Harder is being overweight and carrying the burden of all those consequences, whether it be not fitting in the clothes that you love, fitting in an airplane seat, or dealing with diabetes or other obesity-related diseases. Theodore Roosevelt said "Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty…" We think he's right. Nothing worth having comes easy, and we think health is absolutely worth having.

The Fix: Make it easier on yourself. Don't try to do it all at once, and don't try to make a dozen lifestyle changes all at once. Focus on mastering one change a week. Or enlist the support you need to make these things happen (can your spouse prepare dinner or pack lunches one or two days a week?). Use an app to plan meals or count calories.
