You decided not to put yourself first.
5 Resolution Excuses Busted
Between work, kids, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, and trying to manage a shower once in a while (and maybe sleep, too!) it just became too impossible to make room for yourself. You always have to be at the top of the to do list. While it's not always immediately visible, when you fall apart, it trickles down and affects everyone. When you're strong, healthy, happy and at your best, that too trickles down and has an even greater affect. They tell new moms to "sleep when the baby sleeps," so take that advice to heart.
The Fix: When the kids are playing, get up and play, too. If they're bored, take them on a run with you or let them play along to a workout DVD. While they're doing homework, do yours, and plan meals and a grocery list for the week. The time is there, you just have to re-prioritize it. You may even have to wake up a little earlier to exercise and make yourself a healthy breakfast, but it's time you'll get back in spades later.Next Prev Slide 2 / 5
