Diets in Review Question

Why have i not lost my weight, having been on the diet for 8 weeks, i have only lost 1 kilo, (need 2 kilos)

Whilst i am enjoying the diet, i have only got 3 kilos to lose, and have so far only lost 1 kilo, i have been on the diet for 2 months now, although i am still having the occasional alcoholic drink on the weekend. It is very frustrating, i run everyday and do gym 5 days a week.

You may be exercising too much and gaining muscle which, of course, weighs more than fat. Do you feel better or look better in your clothing? It may also be that this diet is not the right one for you since you do not have that much weight to lose anyway?? Just a suggestion! :)

In response to Jennifer's answer, for claification purposes...muscle DOES NOT weight more than fat...a pound is a pound if when it is a pound of feathers and a pound of lead. A pound of muscle though takes up 18% less space than a pound of fat...

you say you are havign the occassional alcoholic drink - this is why you are not losing the weight!

In response to are right in saying that muscle does not weigh more than fat but it sure takes up less room in the body. The more musle you have the better you look and feel and the more fat you have the worst you look and feel.

It is definitely the alcohol. Even without dieting if I stop drinking my wine I look slimmer in 3-4 days prompt. Wine lowers your metabolism and makes you hungry. At least in my experience. Also working out too hard your body needs and craves extra calories. I'd start from phase one and no work outs and no wine. One thing I miss a lot myself. Good luck !!!
