Diets in Review Question

Does the Diabetes DTOUR Diet really work?

KJ asked this question Oct 15th, 2011 10:47 am

I would just like to know: does this diet really work? No matter how much you weigh and your blood sugar levels?

My blood sugar so far is very good: 86 (usually before eating) - 135 (after eating). I get more symptoms of low blood sugar throughout the day or while working out (which I'm hoping to help resolve). Even though my doctor says my diabetes is well in control and I work out I can't seem to lose much weight and I'm desperate, because I would like to come off my medication and not run into any other health problems my family suffers from. I would also like more energy; I used to be able to work out for a good hr maybe hr and a half and now I can do 30 minutes at best before I start feeling dizzy and sweaty because my sugar is dropping. Does the book cover any of these issues? I would just like to know how effective it really is before I spend money on it....Thanks!

If you are having low's then your meds are too much for your lifestyle. I have been diabetic for 12 years, I started this diet 2 years ago and it helped me on a long weightloss journey. It helped wonderfully in the first 6 weeks and I kept doing it even after because it was a healthy way of eating being diabetic. I have lost a total of 130lbs and am healthier then ever. Janine
