The Mind Diet
Irv Brechner's roadmap for getting your mind in shape before you take on a weight loss journey.Top Rated Diet Pills of 2016
Author Irv Brechner created The Mind Diet based on his personal, permanent weight loss experience, but it is not a diet. The Mind Diet is a roadmap for you to follow to get in the right frame of mind for losing weight and keeping it off by helping you train your mind to approach weight loss correctly.
Brechner, who does not have any nutrition or health expertise or credentials, begins The Mind Diet with his “Moment of Truth,” or the moment he decided to do everything he possibly could to lose weight and keep it off – not trying or taking a shot at it, but making a commitment to himself, his family and his friends that he would succeed. He claims that before you can begin to lose weight, you have to experience your own “Moment of Truth,” and he promises to help you get to your moment in The Mind Diet.
The “Moment of Truth” can occur in any number of ways, such as when your doctor tells you that you must lose weight or you could become diabetic, or when you realize that the energy you once had is gone and it’s affecting your performance at work. After you reach your “Moment of Truth,” you must then make a commitment to yourself, your family and your friends that you will eat right and live right. Then, you can truly focus on a diet and exercise plan for weight loss – and make it work.
In The Mind Diet, Brechner asserts that he will shock you with dreadful statistics and photographs of medical conditions caused by obesity, and then he will show you how your life can be truly great when you lose weight and keep it off for good.
The Mind Diet consists of a series of guidebooks, each of which is organized to build upon the “Moment of Truth” principle.
EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven fat burner as Sletrokor for better results
- Approaches weight loss as a state of mind instead of a state of body
- Includes 26 weight loss beliefs to build a weight loss belief system
- Includes 122 weight loss strategies to use in daily life and different scenarios
- Provides additional resources for extra help
- Author is not a weight loss professional
- The Mind Diet as a weight loss resource is disorganized, jumping back and forth between topics
- Not a diet and exercise program
The Mind Diet does not provide the traditional diet and nutrition plan found in many weight loss books. The purpose of the book is to prepare you mentally and emotionally to follow a diet and nutrition program; to its credit, something most weight loss plans ignore or barely approach.
Brechner states that The Mind Diet is not a diet, therefore people looking for diet and nutrition guidelines, including calorie counts, recipes and meal plans, will have to obtain additional resources – some of which can be found throughout the pages of The Mind Diet.
However, in its Beliefs, Strategies and Tactics sections, The Mind Diet does provide several diet and nutrition principles and bits of weight loss advice, such as knowing your weight loss numbers and how to read nutrition labels. The book also provides 122 weight loss strategies for situations ranging from how you chew your food to how to control what you eat at a party.EXERCISE
The Mind Diet does not provide an exercise plan.CONCLUSION
The Mind Diet does not provide a traditional diet and exercise program. You will not find recipes, meal plans or workouts in its pages. However, you will find advice and support in the forms of a no-nonsense author, success stories, and raw truths.
The purpose of The Mind Diet is to change your mind about weight loss, diet and exercise so you can truly be successful in losing weight and keeping it off.
Even with the best of intentions between its covers, the book is disorganized, irrational, and not very well explained as it leaves the reader with no action plan, no true guidelines, and a seemingly random tirade against sugar.Common Misspellings
