The Nutrition for You diet plan was started by registered dietitian and proclaimed expert in weight loss Manuel Villacorta. The program started out in the San Francisco area and has since grown to service people nationwide. The Nutrition for You or Nu4You Plan is now available to anyone through online access. Your plan is personalized based on your age, resting metabolic rate, goals and activity level. You are given daily allowances of food groups and are able to eat anything within those groups and allotted portion sizes. You can use the online component of the program to track your food daily or log your exercise and other progress. Also available is phone-based coaching to keep you on track with your plan. If you’ve got questions before getting started, they even offer a free consultation by phone to help you decide if the plan is right for you.

DIET and NUTRITION

With the Nu4You program you are given specific foods and food groups to eat from each day. The specialized diet plan is filled with foods that will help you feel full so that you stay on track. The program teaches you portion sizes as well as how to get the maximum nutrition from the foods you eat. Your program will also be updated as you make progress towards your goals. Each plan is broken out specifically to meet your nutritional needs.

I LOVE Nu4you!!
After I got married I noticed I was beginning to gain a few pounds; my weight was creeping up slowly. My husband and I travel allot and enjoy great restaurants and wine, we love hanging out with friends which usually includes good food and wine. Within a few years of my wedding, I had gained 10 pounds. I felt like I was in a "slump" and didn't know what to do. I continued to exercise, but the weight was not coming off, I was eating the wrong foods and the wrong portions. I had always been healthy, worked out and never had to worry about my weight, I was at a loss. I needed to find a new approach to eating. A friend of mine who had had great success recommended Nu4you. I had a big event coming up and wanted to lose the weight so I joined Nu4you. It was so easy and the tools are awesome! I had no idea how much the Nu4you program would help me reach my goal. Not only did I loose the 10 pounds I desired in a reasonable time frame but I am now on track to loosing 5 more pounds on top of my original goal weight.

Nu4you is an easy program that works; the tools are fantastic you can track your progress which for me has helped to inspire me even more. It??s not a diet it??s a way of life, a sensible and healthy way to eat. With Nu4you you are eating well balanced meals and can still enjoy all the good stuff, you never have to feel guilty about indulging because everything in moderation is in the plan; you never feel like your depriving yourself.

I continue to live the lifestyle I enjoy and eat the foods I love but now I am knowledgeable about portion size and calories. The coaches are motivating, friendly and helpful. Seeing the results with the weight coming off is encouraging me to work out more and try news ways of cooking to support my weight loss and stay on track. I now have a new relationship with food and I couldn't be happier with the results. I will continue to follow Nu4you after I loose these last 5 pounds because it really works and I love the results!

Nu4You has been a life-changing event for me. I have tried just about every other diet on the market? in fact; I feel I have been on a diet all my life! Nu4You has been the only plan that not only helped me lose the weight but taught me how to eat properly for the rest of my life. After a detailed questionnaire and/or call with a coach, they give you a ??prescription?? made especially for you. You current weight, height, activity level is all taken into consideration and the proper amount of calories (broken down into different types of foods) is prescribed for you. By following this prescription you can lose weight safely! It was amazing to me that I was eating lots of food and still losing weight! As time goes on, I started to add exercise to my weekly routine and the weight came off even faster. I now walk 4 miles 3 times a week!

My plan included two coach calls a month. I normally do not like talking to others about my weight challenges but decided to put my personal feelings aside and give them a chance. The coaches are wonderful! They are truly encouraging and are there to help you thru so many of the challenges you might face while trying to lose weight. I consider each one a friend and they truly have my best interest at heart. Now I can??t wait to talk to them and tell them of my progress!

After only 9 weeks on the plan, I lost almost 20 pounds. I survived the holidays by remembering everything they taught me about eating and maintained my weight. I did not gain anything back! I am currently at a 22-pound weight loss and have another 10 pounds to go to reach my goal. I know I will reach it in just a few more months.

This diet again is not just a diet? it teaches you a new way of living. It teaches you the right way to eat for your body. I am no longer on life long diet? I am just eating correctly now and boy, does that feel good!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate in a weight loss challenge sponsored by RealJock and administered by Nutrition for You. I cannot say enough good things about the program and the people working for them. I lost 21 lbs. in 8.5 weeks, and learned a tremendous amount about how to eat. One of the big differences for me was the telephone coaching that I received. While it was great to be able to see what I was eating as it was calculated online, it was having the discussions with the nutrition coaches that really helped me through some of the more difficult times. They gave me some great suggestions that have really helped me to sustain the weight loss and set some good habits for the future. I followed everything they suggested as closely as I could (even when I didn't want to) but it has made a huge difference.

One of the key learnings for me was that I needed to increase my protein intake. As a vegetarian, that was a bit more difficult, but I've found ways and incorporated them into my life.

It's been almost 2 months since I finished the program, and I even managed to get through the holiday season with a 5 lbs loss. I'm almost at my weight loss goal, and then I'll be working with them to change my diet around to start eating to build muscle.

Working with Nu4You has been life changing for me, and I recommend everyone who is serious about really improving their health without gimmicks give them a try.

I like Nu4You a lot.

I have tried a lot of diets in the past. Name it and I have done it. I tried the South Beach diet and completely avoided carbohydrates. I tried the Kellogs strictly cereal diet and ate cornflakes the whole day. I lost weight but gained it all back, never to lose it permanently. Things have changed with Nu4You. I'm an engineer and I solve problems through the proven scientific method. Nu4You, I believe, is the closest science-based weight management program in the market today. They don't teach you to eat through an oversimplified point-system like its competitiors but they teach you how to eat sensibly and properly. And they teach you record-keeping, which I think is the most effective way to maintain one's weight. I was 176 lbs before and I am 145 lbs now and I have maintained this weight for two years now. I think that's amazing! I have slipped and gained weight, mostly holiday weight every now and then, but Nu4You has helped me lose the most difficult last few pounds. I am a runner and combine Nu4You with regular running and weight training. Try it out because it actually works!! Seriously.
