Liquid Amino Diet Ingredients and Side Effects

Here are the ingredients from the Liquid Amino formula:

Phytolacca Berry

a-ketoglutaricum acidum (AKG)

Graphites

Taraxacym Officinale

Lophopytum leandri

Calcarea Carbonica

L-Argenine

Acetyl-L-Carnitine

L-Ornithine

Phytolacca Berry: This toxic plant can be deadly if not properly boiled. It’s used to improve the immune system and provide many other benefits. Special care must be taken as even exposing it to skin may produce symptoms such as:

       • Low blood pressure, seizures, and muscle spasms.

       • Rapid heart rate, fatigue, and difficulty breathing.

       • Confusion, headaches, and heart blockages.

       • Vision problems, diarrhea, and vomiting.

Research on whether or not it’s beneficial is unknown.

Taraxacym Officinale: More commonly known as dandelion, it’s a vegetable used to increase urine flow. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health has found:

“very little about dandelions’ health effects. There’s little scientific evidence on this herb”

It may also cause allergies in some.

Lophopytum leandri: A parasite flowering cone found in Brazil. It’s used as a diuretic but little information exists about its safety or whether or not it has benefits.

Calcarea Carbonica: Extract from the middle portion of shells. It provides a form of calcium carbonate, which is often used to treat stomach acid. Possible side effects include:

       • Gas, constipation, and burping.

       • Muscle and bone pain, mood swings, and headaches.

       • Increased thirst, fatigue, and nausea.

It’s also not a very good source of calcium carbonate, as it’s often impure.

L-Argenine: The incorrect way to spell L-Arginine, which is an amino acid often found in common foods. Often used by athletes to increase endurance via nitric oxide production.

It’s poorly absorbed and is often filtered out before it can be used by the body. Possible side effects are:

       • Gout, low blood pressure, and bloating.

       • Abdominal pain, bloating, and allergies.

• Blood issues, inflammation in the airways, and diarrhea.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine: Amino acid made by the body. It helps to regulate the heart and brain, produce energy, and regulate important body functions. Possible side effects can include:

       • Nausea, upset stomach, and vomiting.

       • Restlessness, fishy odor, and fishy breathe.

Our review experts have crafted a list of the top ranked weight loss diets.

The diet is made up of 3 different phases:

• Phase 1: This lasts between 30 to 90 days and it’s where most weight loss is said to be possible. You get a daily amount of 1,000 calories to help you lose .5 to 1 pound a day.

• Phase 2: Lasts 3 weeks and it’s where you manage a weigh that you’ll keep for the future.

• Phase 3: You’re now adapting to a full lifestyle by allowing yourself few amounts of starches and sugars, as well as a regular amount of calories needed for your weight.

The phases can be repeated if one still finds themselves in need of weight loss. The reason why this diet is likely to work is because of the extreme calorie deficit. However, when eating only 1,000 calories for up to 3 months, it’s possible one might experience serious side effects such as:

       • Increased hunger, difficulty relaxing, and fatigue.

       • Irritability, mood swings, and headaches.

       • Gallstones, diarrhea, and constipation.

UCLA health has also said:

“When an individual consumed 1,000 calories per day or less, it has the same effect physiologically as total starvation”

When only eating this amount of calories it’s often advised to only do so with full medical attention. It can lead to a loss of muscle, tissue, and bone density which is often harmful.

People consuming this amount of calories often have to have their blood pressure checked to ensure they don’t experience serious side effects. For a comprehensive list of the highest rated weight loss diets, follow the link cited here.

This kind of very low calorie diet is often only suggested to morbidly obese people by their doctors. This is because it takes a lot of support and health knowledge to do it properly.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this diet with a proven meal replacement such as 18 Shake for better results.

Liquid Amino Diet Quality of Ingredients

Many of the ingredients added to the homeopathic formula have been shown to be potentially harmful. Some even have no clinical studies to prove they would have a positive effect.

This diet provides amino acids which are often only needed for people on low protein diets. It’s because of the 1,000 calorie fast that these are even needed. You won’t be eating many foods and you’ll be missing out on key nutrients the body needs to function properly.

Due to the extreme potential side effects and the often advised medical supervision of such a reduced calorie diet, it makes the Liquid Amino Diet an ineffective weight loss solution. Discover which weight loss diets were rated as the best by clicking this link.

The Price and Quality of Liquid Amino Diet

The total price depends on which of the 3 packages one chooses:

• 30 days: For 15 to 25 pounds or more of weight loss. It costs $89.95.

• 60 days: Promises 30 to 45 pounds or more of weight loss. Costs a total of $159.95.

• 90 days: For 50 pounds or more of weight loss at $229.95.

Each provides a booklet to explain the diet further, tips and suggestions for weight loss, support from a health coach, online low glycemic recipes and the amino drops.

It does not appear that the health coaches have any background in nutrition. Taking dietary advice and health suggestions from an unqualified person is potentially dangerous.

The diet itself is very extreme and can be difficult and possibly dangerous. It’s simply a form of a starvation diet that allows for limited calories and many unproven ingredients. There’s a possibility for extreme side effects and a lack of long term weight loss. To learn which weight loss diets were featured in the best of list, click on the link.

Business of Liquid Amino Diet

The company is known as Liquid Diet, LLC and their contact information is listed as:

Phone Number: (800) 980-7208

Address: 12227 So Business Park Drive St 115

             Draper, Utah 84020

They currently have a total of 2 complaints on their Better Business Bureau page. One customer did say:

“Unavailable to speak to me on two requests”

This customer had problems in getting a hold of the customer service team, and this caused them to go past their 30 day money back return policy period.

Little information exists about the company apart from their own website. It’s unknown if they truly honor their money back return policy.

Customer Opinions of Liquid Amino Diet

Few reviews are available online. Here are some select opinions:

“kept feeling like I was having allergic responses”

“It was a total waste of money”

“Didn’t work”

“did not work one me and I did not lose any weight”

Though there weren’t many reviews available online, of the few there were those who experienced negative effects. People either failed to see any weight loss, or they were unable to keep following the diet due to the very low calorie allowances.

Some did experience weight loss, but any 1,000 calorie limit will likely cause an effect. Click this link to see a comprehensive list of the best weight loss diets.

Conclusion - Does Liquid Amino Diet Work?

The Liquid Amino Diet begins as a very low calorie diet, which then is meant to stabilize any weight lost. Their liquid amino formula contains many homeopathic ingredients which are understudied and potentially harmful. Having to eat only 1,000 calories a day for up to 90 days can be extremely dangerous and difficult to follow. There’s also many negative customer reviews from unsatisfied users who either experienced side effects or no weight loss results.

In analyzing weight loss diets our review experts found that the 18Shake Diet is the best overall. It provides a fat burning diet pill and an appetite suppressing meal replacement shake. Users have given it rave reviews and showcased their weight loss results via testimonials and before and after photos. The benefits include increased metabolism, blood sugar stabilization, enhanced fat burning, improved overall health, and many other benefits.

They also make each it free of preservatives, colors, binders, artificial additives, or any stimulants. Discover more about the 18Shake Diet by clicking this link.

The Amino Diet worked for me. I'm down 41 pounds and feel amazing. I was really motivated to lose the weight to go on my first cruise so that really helped me to stay strict. It was a real change at first to eat 5 meals a day and I had a headache the first day from not drinking my beloved diet Coke, but after that it really was a breeze.

My wife and I both tried the Amino Diet and I am excited to report it is going great for both of us! I am down 12 pounds and my wife was down 8 pounds last time she told me. I have been super impressed that I don't feel hungry and since I am eating 5 times a day I feel like I am eating all the time. I still have more to go but so far so good.

This diet produced results for me. I lost 22 pounds in 30 days. I would recommend it. You do have to follow a calorie plan, but after the first 3 days, it was easier.

I haven't done tus diet but it's ver y similart to Hcg wich I've done. What you describe sounds lije a stall. Most of the times happens and it lasts between 1 week to 10 days. Don't get desperate. It will go away. Some foods make you stall like oranges, shrimp, everyone is different. Keep trying. The most difficult is phase III where resetting your weight. Good luck!

First week, I lost ten pounds and my husband lost 15. We have not cheated once, and are now on day 28 and have not lost one more ounce. Our bodies have gone into starvation mode. Have tried their "fixes", detox bathes and low calorie day, (500 calories). Nothing. Does not work.

BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

The Liquid Amino Diet is one that promises quick weight loss, loss of belly fat and access to certified health coaches. The diet includes Amino Diet drops which bear a striking resemblance to hCG drops. This program also boasts that you can reshape your entire body in just one month with weight loss between 15 and 30 pounds in only 30 days. Along with your Liquid Amino Diet package, which can be purchased online, you will receive Amino Diet plus drops, a diet guidebook, one oral syringe and free email and phone support from health coaches. The Liquid Amino Diet drops claim to have homeopathic ingredients that promote accelerated weight loss. These drops claim to increase your energy, mobilize fat and improve your metabolism. For those that have done the hCG diet in the past, you can go right into the Liquid Amino Diet after completing phase 2 of the hCG diet.

While on the Liquid Amino Diet, you will follow the list of approved foods and should not remain on the program for more than 90 days at a time. Unlike the hCG diet, you get 1,000 calories per day of food with this program. It is likely that the weight loss comes from the low number of calories you are eating each day rather than from the drops. For a healthy rate of weight loss it is recommended that you eat at least 1,200 calories each day to keep the body out of starvation mode.

DIET and EXERCISEDIET and EXERCISE

While on the Liquid Amino Diet, there are certain restrictions with eating and exercise that must be followed. There are three different phases involved with the program. Phase one lasts from 30 to 90 days and is the main weight loss phase. The diet you follow is a clean diet and your daily caloric intake is 1,000 calories. The foods you eat will include lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, some carbs and healthy fats. Phase two is done for three weeks following phase one. This phase is used to create a new weight set so that your body can maintain the weight loss. The last phase is phase three which allows you to slowly add sugars and starches back into your diet while also eating the proper amount of calories for your body weight. There are several recipes included on the Liquid Amino Diet web site that you can use during the various stages of the diet. There is a guide book included with every purchase that contains a list of approved foods, sample menus and tips to avoid common mistakes.

Exercise is not required during phase one of the program, but it is highly recommended. There are various zones of exercise including zone one, two and three. Exercise zones one and two focus on moderate cardio exercise including activities like 30 minutes of speed walking or 20 minutes of swimming laps. Zone three focuses on combining weight training with more intense cardio. Zone three exercises also have a time length of at least 60 minutes. There is an ACTIVE program that can be followed to incorporate exercise and that is outlined in the guidebook.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

The Liquid Amino Diet is very similar to the highly controversial hCG diet. With the Liquid Amino Diet you consume 1,000 calories per day and are promised quick weight loss results due to the drops that you are taking. This program may get you results but eating so few calories each day can put your body into starvation mode. There also has been no testing done on the effectiveness of these drops so a safer weight loss approach would be to eat the proper amount of calories for weight loss and increase your exercise.
