BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

NO LONGER AVAILABLE; DECEMBER 2012

Extrim Plus is a diet supplement that is supposed to help you burn fat, relieve constipation and get rid of unwanted toxins. But this apparent magic pill comes with a big catch: The FDA has deemed this supplement and 29 others dangerous for use because of their potential to cause very serious side effects.

Extrim Plus is a Chinese diet pill that contains disclosed and undisclosed ingredients. The one ingredient that is not listed on the product’s package is the greatest cause for alarm. Extrim Plus contains sibutramine, a stimulant similar in effects to amphetamine. The amount of sibutramine contained in Extrim Plus far exceeds what is routinely used in prescription drugs. Sibutramine has been known to cause heart attacks, strokes, seizures and a host of other symptoms.

The FDA warns against using this product and any other products similar to it.

  • None to speak of
CON

  • Inaccurate and dishonest ingredient list
  • Not a long-term solution to weight loss
  • Will not help you lose weight in the long-term
  • Extrim Plus looks suspiciously familiar to other Asian diet pills

CONCLUSION

Extrim Plus is a diet pill that has been red-flagged by the FDA because of its undisclosed and dangerous ingredient list. While this Asian slimming pill claims to be all natural, it contains a very powerful stimulant that may cause heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular conditions. The FDA warns against using this product or any other similar product and instead encourages you to talk to your doctor about following an effective and safe weight loss plan.
