David Beckham GO3

The soccer star has created a line of nutritious meals for kids.

BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

In addition to being a soccer great and underwear model, David Beckham can now add chef to his repertoire of professions. In an effort to encourage kids to eat healthier, in combination with Go3, a food manufacturer, Beckham has launched his own line of healthy food that includes pasta, wraps, omelets and fish sticks.

As a dad of three young boys, he understands the frustration that parents go through to get their kids to eat fruits and veggies. Even though sandwich wraps don’t sound like kid-friendly food, they are loaded with greens, veggies and other healthy ingredients that have been stealthily added to each of his signature dishes. The meals also contain omega-3 fatty acids and whole wheat, both of which are commonly absent in most pre-packaged processed kids food.

PRO
  • David Beckham’s image can help inspire kids to eat healthier
  • Meals offer substantial nutrition
  • Affordable
CON
  • Currently, only available in the UK
DIET and NUTRITION

David Beckham’s Go3 food line includes 12 kid-friendly and healthy dishes. All of the dishes are frozen and can be heated up in the microwave for a simple, but nutritious, alternative to heavily processed and nutrient-void meals.

Some of the meals available include: - Ham and Cheese Wrap - Fish Fingers - Chicken and Tomato Wrap - Cheese and Tomato Omelette - Bolognese Pasta Pot

David Beckham's GO3 meals provide a generous source of Omega-3, as well as plenty of hidden fruits and vegetables that provide vitamins, antioxidants and fiber.

EXERCISE

There are no exercise endorsements by David Beckham in regards to his Go3 line of healthy foods.

CONCLUSION

There is no question that David’s image can help sell a product. While many of his other commercial endorsements from companies like Pepsi don’t do much to inspire kids to be healthy, his new line of GO3 healthy meals for kids has the potential to do so.

Beckham’s line of food should hit US grocery stores in the near future.

I really enjoyed the meals. However Tesco seem to have stopped stocking them! Typical of Tesco!

I bought 2 meals in Tesco, the omelette and the sweet & sour chicken noodle pot. Both tasted awful. I would not buy again. They may have David Beckham on the cover but they still taste no better than a regular cheap micro meal. I cannot see many children liking these meals.
