Burner Balm

A lip balm that boosts metabolism and slims you down.

BACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

There are wacky diet products and then there are really wacky diet products. The Burner Balm unarguably fits into the latter category of products that take weight loss to a whole new level.

The Burner Balm is a moisturizing lip balm that promises to help speed up your metabolism through its ingredients of green tea, hoodia, caffeine and chromium picolinate. All you do is wear the lip balm a few times a day and watch your cravings diminish, appetite dwindle and the pounds melt off.

The Burner Balm is supposed to work via its transdermic effect of letting its thermogenic ingredients seep into your bloodstream by way of your lips. Because there are numerous blood vessels located in the mucous membrane in our lips, it is theorized that the ingredients are readily absorbed and rapidly go to work.

The Burner Balm comes in five flavors: Pomegranate, vanilla, strawberry, spearmint, acai berry. They can be purchased by the single balm or all together.

PRO
  • May have a placebo effect and therefore inspire you to eat less, eat healthier and exercise more
CON
  • Sounds like a gimmick product
  • May produce side effects, especially if used more than recommended
  • Contains stimulants
  • Hoodia in its pure form is very difficult and expensive to obtain; product's claims that it contains hoodia is therefore likely false
  • No exericise or diet plan given
INGREDIENTS

The Burner Balm contains Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Oil, Beeswax (Natural), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil (and) Caffeine, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil (and) Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea), Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil (and) Hoodia Gordonii Extract, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Paraffin Wax, Xylitol, Natural and Artificial Flavor(s), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Chromium Picolinate, Lecithin, Phenoxyethanol.

ADMINISTRATION

Apply Burner Balm lip balm 4 to 8 times daily or as needed whenever you feel tired or hungry.

DIET and EXERCISE

A healthy diet and exercise regimen along with the use of Burner Balm is recommended, but the product does not offer any specific guidelines on what to eat or when to exercise.

CONCLUSION

The Burner Balm, a innovative dietary lip balm that claims to be far less invasive then ingesting pills and drinking diet potions, is a weight loss and beauty product that contains certain thermogenic ingredients that have been associated with weight loss. We like the flavors the Burner Balm comes in, but if they are as yummy as they sound, you may be consuming significant amounts of stimulants, which might cause you to bounce off the walls of the beauty supply store.

While it's a dream-come-true to be able to swipe on a few glides of lip balm and watch pounds melt away, real life and real dieting isn't so simple or as pretty.

I like the product! I question your evaluation regarding the Hoodia content. Have you done an analysis? Your assumption that it isn't there because it is expensive in its pure form has no basis.
