Total Body Makeover does not outline a rigid diet plan. There are five rules that Greene says you'll need to live by to cut calories and lose weight. Start by ending emotional eating, eat breakfast everyday, drink plenty of water, limit alcohol consumption and define a time to stop eating each evening.

EXERCISE EXERCISE

The Total Body Makeover is a 12-week program that demands commitment. You'll start by focusing on fitness through cardio, strength and functional training. Beginners should perform a high-intensity aerobic workout 15 minutes daily, intermediates 30 minutes and those who are more advanced should perform 45 minutes. Increase these times by two minutes each week and commit to exercising 6 times each week.

I followed this plan for twelve weeks and lost over twenty pounds. It was hard work, but it was worth it in the end!!

I followed this program by approximately 90% and managed to lose 22 pounds by the end of it. I now weigh 147 pounds. Some co-workers were convinced I was on some sort of a diet when I wasn't at all. I followed the five rules and tried to eat no more than 1500 calories a day.

This is the most effective exercise program I've ever done. It think if I had followed it strictly I would have lost even more - but it is tough, so be warned.

A lot of work going in, had to change the diet for my food allergies. Told it no wheat but it put wheat in anyway. It did save foods I entered and meals I entered too. But every day I had to switch out their foods for foods I'd put together. I lost one pound in seven weeks. It didn't do anything to address why that was, when I increased my exercise so much and stayed with their guidelines. Good concept but for sure not a fits-all.

This diet is way more work than it's worth.... it's easier to just join a gym and go to a few classes a week and talk to you doc or even some of the trainers at the gym for a meal plan.... I really couldn;t practically follow this diet for too long.... and it was expensive considering I should have just done something else....

I burnt out on this plan. I didn't get the results I wanted either for all the effort I put in.
