The Kmart "New Day Your Way" program is a 16-week weight loss competition in which women are encouraged to lose weight. They can win cash and other gifts. All winners, including the first, second, and third runners up are chosen based on weight-loss performances and essays submitted on “How Kmart Has Helped To Bring Out A New You.”
The 2008 program which began in January, tracks women of all ages who want to lose weight and solidify those New Years resolutions. The judging will take place on April 25 where contestants are evaluated on how much weight they lost, the changes in their Body Mass Index (BMI) and their essay.
In the "New Day Your Way" program you are responsible for choosing your own diet and exercise plan. Kmart stores and pharmacists helped contestants achieve their New Year's resolution to lose weight by establishing healthy, monthly weight goals, monitoring their progress, and rewarding those who reached their optimum weight goals with free products. Each contestant is required to weigh in at their local Kmart six designated times throughout the course of the program. The program also includes discussion boards and bi-weekly email communications that offer support and encouragement to these contestants throughout the 16-week program.

The "New Day Your Way" program sponsored by Kmart is a motivator to lose weight with its community support, ongoing progress reports and potential for winnings at the end of the 16-week program. It is more of a motivating program rather than a how-to-diet program. Each contestant is responsible for choosing a diet plan that suits her needs. If you’re not looking to publicize your weight loss, you should probably look elsewhere for a different diet. But if keeping your eyes on the generous and fun prizes that could be yours, is just the motivation you need to keep you inspired then "New Day Your Way" program might be just your ticket to losing weight.Common Misspellings
