HOT-ROX

A supplement intended for serious bodybuilders.

BACKGROUND

HOT-ROX Extreme is the latest version of the HOT-ROX line of fat loss supplements. The supplement's maker, BioTest, claims to blow away the competition by incorporating three new powerful thermogenic ingredients.

The three components include Carbolin 19, yohimbine HCl, and the third, a component of raspberry that they claim stimulates lipolysis in both white and brown adipose tissue. This is a fancy way of saying that it stimulates fat loss.

PRO
  • Hot-Rox Extreme fully discloses its ingredients on the BioTest website
  • BioTest performed research on Hot-Rox Extreme
CON
  • Yohimbine has significant side effects, such as possible anxiety
  • Contains caffeine and food dyes
INGREDIENTS

Hot-Rox contains many ingredients which aren't recognizable to anyone outside of a chemistry lab, short of gelatin, caffeine and food dyes.

The full list is as follows:

A7-E™ Super-Thermogenic Gel™ 50/700 (lauroyl macrogol-32 glycerides, p-methylcarbonylethylphenol, 3,17-dihydroxy-delta-5-etiocholane-7-one diethylcarbonate, Sclaremax™ [proprietary, sclareolide], yohimbine HCl, piperine, caffeine, lauroyl macrogol-32 glycerides, gelatin, FD&C red #40, FD&C yellow #6, titanium dioxide.

Carbolin 19 has been marketed by BioTest as a stand-alone supplement before HOT-ROX Extreme. The company claims that a large study shows that Carbolin 19 outperforms an anabolic steroid such as Anavar when it comes to burning body fat. In fact, subjects lost an average of 9.9 pounds of fat over a 12-week period.

Yohimbine HCl is usually used for sexual dysfunction issues. But it's also used in the bodybuilding community as a fat loss aid. This is widely debated as being effective, and it comes with possible side effects.

EXERCISE

By all accounts, HOT-ROX is intended for serious bodybuilders. If you go to the company's website, it's filled with ripped-up bodybuilders. But you're on your own figuring out a routine as they do not suggest any recommendations.

CONCLUSION

Like many bodybuilding supplements, Hot-Rox appears to have possible intense results. Some good, some bad. As with any supplement, don't look for it to be a miracle, but a possible kick-start to your weight-loss and muscle gain goals.
