Change One Diet

Lose the extra pounds with one small change a week.


BACKGROUND

Brought to you by Readers Digest, the Change One Diet was created by some of the diet industry's best nutrition gurus. It will allow you to develop healthier habits by simply suggesting you change one thing every day. It's the baby steps theory - just one little thing as you go and you'll soon be able to turn around and see just how far you've come. You won't have to follow extreme guidelines like some diets require. It's all about controlling portions, relieving you of the chore of counting calories.

DIET and NUTRITION

Dieters will consume anywhere from 1,300 to 1,600 calories, based on body type and exercise routine. The key is in controlling portion size, so meals will look similar to what you were eating before. You could enjoy a breakfast favorite like silver dollar pancakes with a little syrup, a few strawberries and a cup of low- or no-fat milk. For lunch you would have a veggie wrap, salad greens with a no-fat dressing and a small side of melon. You could wrap up the day with comfort food like a 1” slice of meatloaf, egg noodles and zucchini.

EXERCISE

You make one change a week with this program, and exercise comes all the way down at week 10! The site comes with an Activity Calorie Calculator that gives you a list of activities to chose from then shows you the calories you will burn. There’s also help in the form of tips and a Food and Activity Journal.

For those that feel it is not a fast enough weight loss program, remember that slow and steady wins the race. This is a very good way to change your eating habits forever. Regular diets only give you short tem results. Change One addreses eating habits to keep you healthy so you never have to "diet" again. posted Apr 4th, 2009 12:01 pm

My husband is super stubborn, which is why the change one diet has been so great. It doesn't require huge changes, just little steps, which takes away some of the shock value other diets entail.

SO EASY! LOVE IT! I've made it to change snacking and already seeing results. But I know it's a long way to go and I'm actually excited about the wait. Will be SO WORTH IT!!

It's totally easy to sneak into my husband's routine too, he didn't even know what hit him. And then started bragging about his pants fitting better. Had to let the cat out of the bag. But now we're doing it together and feel great!

i like this because i can make it fit me. Things like snacking and exercise haven't really been a problem, so i just change those to fix other bad habits like drinking more water and getting more sleep.

this is a wonderful diet, perfect for the busy person, i've lost five pounds in the first two weeks and i have never felt deprieved or hungry
