Claims that you can eat all you want and still lose weight.

Top Rated Diet Pills of 2024
BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Akavar 20/50 is a European weight loss pill that has achieved much success. It has made its move to the U.S. seeking the same. Akavar boasts that it is the ultimate fat cure and that you'll see the results you seek without any diet restrictions or inclusion of exercise.

Akavar is designed to restrict your daily caloric intake to less than normal. Without those calories that your body requires for energy, you'll start to use your fat reserves. This will of course cause you to lose weight and inches. However, you'll immediately gain back that weight should you stop using Akavar. The website offers little-to-know information about the product leaving open many questions about the supplement.

Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?

PROPRO
  • Promotes eating all you like and still seeing weight loss
  • Reduces urge to overeat
  • Do not have to count calories
  • Won't feel hungry
CONCON

Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the more concerning details include:

  • Promotes a lifestyle without exercise and healthy diet
  • No FDA approval
  • Web site offers very little information
  • No published clinical research
  • Does not publish ingredients
  • Contains caffeine
INGREDIENTSINGREDIENTS

It takes a lot of research to find what is inside those little Akavar tablets, as the product's website bypasses any discussion. Akavar includes many caffeine sources including xanthine and green tea leaf. Other ingredients include yerba mate, guarana seed, ginger root, kola nut, Tibetan ginseng, cocoa nut, rice flour, yellow no. 6, red no. 3 and Gelatin, among many others.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

Akavar 20/50 leaves a lot of open questions- which really leads to concerns about both the product's effectiveness and impact on the body. With so many diet pills and supplements on the market, it is important for manufacturers to paint a detailed picture of the product to help consumers make the most educated decisions. Many diet pills and supplements provide all of the information that Akavar seems to have conveniently left out. It is also a little misleading that without diet and exercise you can still lose weight. Anyone who has ever committed to losing weight knows that without important changes to diet and exercise, results are often not achieved.

Hello again....I looked on the company website and couldn't find a return address to get my money back so I emailed them by clicking on "contact us". They emailed me back the same day and said that if I bought the pills at a store (which I did, at Wal-Mart) then I am able to return them there. But if you order them thru their rep you have to call: 1-800-898-5153. I am gonna return them tomorrow (I only took 3 pills total) and let you all know if I was able to get my money back.

i've been taking akavar for 3 days now and last night i had the worst stomach pains. it feels like it's burning and it makes me feel like i want to throw up. but on the plus side, i don't crave for food as much. i usually lost weight really quickly when i exercise and diet so hopefully in another week i'll see results. if not, screw this pill. i just have one question. is it bad to smoke while on this pill?

I bought the pills over a month ago and when I did follow it, it WORKED. I will tell you the truth, if I wanted to "binge and splurge" I would NOT take the pill so I could wholeheartedly overeat! I know when I take the pills, I have no appetite to eat, none at all and I HAVE to MAKE myself eat....The bathroom part, I have not had any issues with, just started again today 6/13/08. Will post again next Friday!

Hello all...........I have been ingesting these pills oh for about three days now and on the first day I noticed that ( I only took one instead of two) my stomach was burning alittle and was just generally upset. I hadn't eaten anything new or unusuallal the pills were under suspision. Any who I feel entergized and well but I am concerned that I may be eating more. I don't know if I am loosing anything I don't believe in looking at the scale but I will eventually. I think I am going to stop taking these pills if I don't begin to change my eating habits along with my excersizing habits. Oh and I really don't like the fact the fda is not behind this product. Good luck all.....

Hi again, it's been 1 day since I bought the pills. I have taken a total of 3 pills so far. 1 yesterday and 2 today. I felt good yesterday, very energized, yet I felt like I was drunk. I took 1 this morning (7:00am) and it made me feel ok. Then I took another at 12:00pm for lunchtime and I have had heart pains ever since (it is now 4:40pm). The pain is constant and hasn't let up at all. I am at work so it makes it even worse. I also had to go to the gas station on my lunch break to re-fuel for the weekend, and I got scared cause I got real dizzy and almost couldn't control my leg to be able to move it from the gas to the brake. Thankfully I made it ok. I hate to do any harm to my heart so I have decided not to take any more pills. Instead I am gonna have my husband mow me a trail in the woods so I can jog every morning before work. I will keep you all updated every week on my progress so that you can compare me just jogging and you taking the pills. Also, I plan on returning the pills does anybody know the return address for a refund? I looked on their website but it didn't have it. (surprise surprise)

I just bought these pills yesterday (6/12/08) and will keep updating you all every week. I am 5'9 and weighed in this morning at 197lbs. I am 24 and when I met my husband, I weighed 140. We just got married 5-3-08 and when I saw the wedding photos I immediately became very upset cause I didn't realize just how big I have gotten. I work in an office and we have a candy dish out for clients and I was always sneaking a piece. But I took 1 pill yesterday and 2 today and I have no desire to eat the candy. For those of you that say it doesn't work, are you truly overweight or are you 120lbs and need to lose only 5lbs? I believe that the more a person weighs, the faster it would be to lose weight. Maybe the pill isn't designed for those that just need to lose a few cosmetic pounds. But good luck to everyone and I will keep you all posted on my progress.

I have really enjoyed reading all your comments! I am hoping that Loretta & Loretta Lopez are not the same person. I am truly rooting for the first Loretta. I am inspired by her and hope she writes againg soon. As for the guy that said that all the comments were a good read, he is right, this could be a Akavar novelette!

I cannot understand why there are still so many ridiculous posts. 1st it seems that you truly believe that doing nothing but taking an orange pill will work. If you actually want to lose weight as you claim why wouldn't you add a bit of exercise and... the dreded diet to the mix. As for the post about "waking up surrounded by fast food" I pray you are joking. I am very sad that the underage people are using this. So many high school students end up in the hospital or worse because of misuse of drugs of any kind. If you are just hoping to lose 10 pounds eat healthy and exercise a bit more- don't put yourself at risk to fit in. I have taken the pills for a week now and have lost 5 pounds but I also watch what I eat and workout. There isn't a perfect pill that will do the work for you, but this is a nice help to have along for the ride.

Well, I just started the pill today, I feel fine, but notice that I wasn't hungry at my usual time. I have lost 35lbs on my own with diet and exercise and do want to lose that extra 5 for my goal weight. I am hoping that this will be that extra push. To all remember that the key to weight loss is diet and exercise. Try getting on the scale once a week and planning out how much to cut back the up coming week. This will help you maintain your weight and will teach you self control. Good Luck to all.

I started taking Akavar 20/50 yesterday (6/10/08). I am 18 years old, 5'7", and 179 pounds. After being a size 4 a year and a half ago and gaining weight for an unknown reason (diet and exercise regimen are the same), I decided to take action. My mom and I are both trying Akavar. Yesterday, I took 2 when I woke up and was able to have a bowl of Special K and feel full, which was abnormal for me. Around dinner time, I took another 2 pills and ate less at dinner than normal. So far so good? It was, until an hour and a half later I had an extremely bad panic attack. I don't know if it was because of all of the caffeine, but I had to take a xanax to calm myself down. I'm a little apprehensive to try taking it again, so I just took one pill instead of two. I will update again and let you know what happens. I do feel quite bloated and dizzy when I take it, but no other side effects.

I used it for 2 full days (2 in the morning and 2 at night) and then on the 3rd day during the morning. I felt like my mood was better and I did feel fuller. BUT I have migraines and just after the 2 1/2 days I took the pills my migraines and become worse and so bad that I have to get an MRI done. I'm assuming its from the pills because before I only had migraines about 1 time a month and now I've already had 3 in the past week. And I didn't lose any weight. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone!

I just started taking this pill today, and im hoping that it will impact my weight. I am 5' 9", and weigh 190 ibs, so there is a problem. I have been researching different weight loss methods and diets, and none that i have tried have worked...If i were to get down to 160, i would be happy. Anyone got any suggestions of something else that i could try?

well today was week one and i lost 2 pounds...i mean you cant really expect to lose 10-20 pounds in one week so its off to a good start. i do notice that i dont over eat anymore and my mood has been a lot better and I have more energy. I had one problem one day that I didn't eat enough and I got all shaky but as long as you eat an drink a full glass of water everything is great!

I've been taking Akavar 20/50 for a month. No one can expect miracles, pills respond differently to different people. If you are one who tries every new fad on the market, you will likely not lose weight anymore, you're body has formed a tolerance to this pills. I love Akavar, it is one of the first pills I have ever tried, I never gave in to the whole "Eat all you want and still lose weight" but you gotta be smart! I try to watch what I eat. I don't count calories, and I still eat a good amount, but no more Big Macs, Whoppers, or anything else that is obviously high in fat, I still eat pizza and cheeseburgers. I have not exercised since starting this pill, but I am currently at 35 pounds lost! I was 125 lbs overweight. Just think, if I add exercise to my regimen I may be down to my goal by my birthday in November!!

Honestly, just by reading the Akavar website, it totally sound like a joke. No F-ing way is it going to help you keep your weight off, (if you are significally overweight). If you really think it's going to work, well good luck. Advice to everyone. Research any pill before taking it, there are better ones out there by far. I didn't find one good review on the net about this pill. So take it if you want but I seriously have better things to waste my money on.
