Vitamin D for Kids
Drinking milk and playing in the sun just aren't enough anymore.
The nation's leading pediatrician group says chances are kids are not getting the Vitamin D they need to help prevent disease. They've now passed a recommendation to double the daily dose of Vitamin D kids need to consume.

(Page 1 of 1)One last thing! Giving your kid a Gummy Multivitamin in addition to the Calcium supplement meets and slightly exceeds the daily amount for vitamin D.
I also wanted to mention that it is especially important to give these to the kids during the winter months when there isn't any sun.
The best vitamin D supplement I've found for kids is either the L'il Critters Calcium Gummy Bears with Vitamin D found at Target, Fred Meyer, and similar stores. The bears taste good and one serving is equivalent to 5 oz. of milk in addition to 50% of the recommended daily dose of Vitamin D for kids. Another alternative is the Rhino Swirlm' Calci-Bears also with Vitamin D-- these are sold at Whole Foods and Fred Meyers in the healthfood section.
