About Me:

I am 58 - now unemployed again - have gained weight again since last surgery -2006 - need to get motivated again now!

The goals I'm working toward:

  • maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle
  • get my flexibility and stamina back
  • regain my energy and zest for life

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

The last time totally comfortable 1995 - my mother passsed away - left my job of 23 years - had a complete hysterectomy - 1997 - gall bladder surgery - 1998 - quit smoking - 2002 - knee surgery - 2003 knee surgery - 2006 multiple tears of right rotator cuff - not been the same since - I need to get me back.

My favorite healthy food:

grilled peppers - all colors - walnuts - oatmeal - apples - yogurt - steamed vegetables- salmon - chicken- blueberries and strawberries.

My guiltiest pleasure:

pasta - I can eat whole grain but it isn't the same.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I'm tired of being tired and out of shape - not working now so there should be no excuses - really having trouble getting my head straight which is where all the good changes start for me,

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • exercise
  • measure and carry healthy snacks

My favorite activity at the gym is:

cardio and light weight and stretching classes as well as the water aerobics class.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Being there for my grandchildren when they need me - they lost their mother to cancer in 2008 - it was rough for everyone, I happy that they talk to me when they need answers.
