Studies have shown that drinking green tea can have health benefits. It's a source of antioxidants, and may have disease preventing qualities. It also has caffeine, although less than coffee or black tea, which can help you feel more alert. However, these health benefits do not mean that green tea will help you lose weight without proper diet and exercise. There is a cornucopia of green tea products that promise to help you lose weight, from powders like Ultra Green Tea to pills like Green Tea Purity. There are even tea diets, like the Ultimate Tea Diet, that suggest you drinking eight cups of tea daily will lead to weight loss.
