Richard "Rick" de Roque struggles with emotional eating. He links feelings of inadequacy with his demanding and strict father, feelings he attempted to smother with food. Today, he works as a physical therapist in Conway, Arkansas. Rick is married and has five children, and eight grandchildren. He wants to change his unhealthy eating habits so that he can be a fit and active grandfather. Rick begins his Biggest Loser journey weighing 350 pounds.
