Most Popular Diets of 2012

Number 13: Baby Food Diet

2011 Rank: #12

While only the slightest change from position 12 to 13, we're glad to see Baby Food Diet getting even incrementally less popular. It first appeared on our list at number six in 2010, one of the biggest trends in Hollywood-inspired weight loss of the past few years.

The idea of the Baby Food Diet is simple - replace whole adult-sized meals with jars of baby food purees. Quick and easy to grab jars from the grocery store; more involved but more nutritious would be to make your own with organic fruits and vegetables. Either way, a serving of baby food hardly as the fiber, protein, or other nutrients a full-sized adult needs to get through the day.

The continued popularity of the Baby Food Diet has no doubt fueled the rise in the pre-packaged puree pouches that should be a bigger deal amongst the toddler set instead of their moms.
