During week two on the ranch, the contestants faced a challenge that would test their balance. For Maria, it was a brutal test of her fears. Maria's crippling fear of water sent her off the balance beam, falling face-first onto the concrete platform. Her son Michael, doctors and emergency professionals were immediately at her side to help her up and send her off to the hospital. Maria returned to the ranch with a black eye, a broken finger, and a wounded ego. The fall caused her and Michael to not complete the challenge.
