Ginger Gold Apple

Know Your Apple Types

Not to be confused with the Golden Delicious, Ginger Golds are more seasonal so you’ll only see them during true apple season. Ginger Golds are flecked with green and pink and not as uniformly yellow as the Delicious. Their skin is also crisper than Golden Delicous apples, lending to a snappier crunch and their taste is a mix of sweet and tart. Since they are slow to brown, Ginger Golds are great for slicing and putting on a cheese platter or in a kid’s lunch box as they will retain their white color longer than most apples.
