How Much Sugar is in Your Food

When Ellen DeGeneres gave up sugar, she still ate fruit and other food containing naturally occurring sugars. She only cut out process sugars. That's because fruit has lots of important nutritional benefits. Diets that advocate cutting sugar out of your diet, like Sugar Busters, still permit fresh fruit.

Although a serving of 126 grams, or about 20 grapes, has 20 grams of sugar, it also has lots of nutrients that your body needs. Grapes contain manganese, vitamin C, vitamin B1 and potassium. They also are a good source of disease-fighting polyphenols.
