Vincent "Vinny" Hickerson is a songwriter and entertainer who hails from Columbia, Tennessee. His weight problems began as a child. He used food as a way to deal with his abusive stepfather, and soon took on the identity of "being the big guy." His biggest motivation for trying out for the show was when he found out that he has pre-diabetic symptoms. Another big motivation is the desire to be there for his soon-to-be wife and kids.
