Shrimp Cocktail with Thai Sauce

1 pound steamed shrimp
2 tablespoons ginger root
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/2 cup diced celery
1 cup sliced cucumber
2 tablespoons light ketchup

Place steamed shrimp on attractive serving platter or bowl.

Combine the rest of the ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour into serving bowl.

Serve shrimp with sauce. Refrigerate leftovers promptly.
