Low Calorie Brownies
You'll never guess that these are good for you!
Yield: Makes 16 squares
Ingredients
- 2 c. fine graham cracker crumbs, (28 crackers)
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. skim milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces, melted
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 TBS sifted powdered sugar
Instructions
- Combine crumbs, cinnamon and salt
- Stir in milk and vanilla, mixing well
- Add chocolate and nuts; blend thoroughly
- Turn into lightly greased 9 inch pan
- Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or just until done
- Turn out on rack to cool
- Cut into 40 pieces; sprinkle powdered sugar over top

I was wondering the same thing. Big difference between 16 squares and 40 squares.

This was tasty, my kids even like it. I'm going to try adding mint chips to the recipe for a little different flavor or possibly melt some mint chips on top.

So is the serving size 1/40 of the bar as the instructions lead me to believe or 1/16 as it says above? What is the calorie count of 44 per square calculating?
