Crock Pot Italian Pot Roast

A simple Italian meal that's practically hands off.

Yield: Serves 8


  • 1- 2 1/2 pound boneless beef round roast
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2- 8 ounce cans no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 1 package Italian salad dressing mix


  1. Slice roast in half and place in a 3 1/2 quart Crock Pot
  2. Add onion and remaining ingredients
  3. Cover and cook on high setting 5 hours or until roast is tender
  4. Slice meat to serve

I like Crock pot style cooking it's easy and affordable for my family. I work nights and it makes it easy on me when I don't have to worry about cooking when I wake up it's already made and delicious.

Loved this one! I wound up cooking mine on low for 8.5 hours. Hubby and kids loved it.
