Chocolate Angel Food Cake
A fluffy favorite with a chocolate twist.
Yield: Serves 10
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 Tbs. cocoa
- 2 Tbs.cornstarch
- 5 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. cream tartar
- 1/2 cup Splenda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Sift flour, cocoa, cornstarch together
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy
- Add cream of tartar and whisk until soft peaks form
- Add Splenda to egg whites and whisk until blended
- Fold in cocoa/flour mix
- Spoon into a greased ring mold
- Bake for 35 minutes
- When finished, turn upside down and allow to cool

Made it according to instructions above, with these ingredients. Did not come out at all. Was this recipe supposed to be added to a boxed angel food mix?

1/4 cup of flour? Are you serious? This could not be right. I would not try it.
