Chicken Tikka Salad

Salad with w wonderful marinated chicken addition.

Yield: Serves 4




  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 4 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil

  • 1 lb. chicken, cut into strips
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce
  • Lime wedges


  1. Combine all ingredients for marinade
  2. Marinate chicken for at least 2 hours
  3. Reserve marinade
  4. Preheat broiler
  5. Broil chicken 15-20 minutes, basting 2-3 times
  6. Serve on romaine with favorite dressing
