Cheesy Meatloaf

Meatloaf with a surprise cheese middle.

Nutrition Facts: Carbohydrates 2.9g

Yield: Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 c mozzarella cheese
  • 12 oz can tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine ground turkey, onion, eggs, cream, salt, pepper and garlic salt in large bowl
  2. Mix well
  3. Add more cream, if dry
  4. Turn onto long piece of waxed paper
  5. Pat mixture into rectangle
  6. Spread mozzarella cheese over mixture
  7. Start from one end and lift waxed paper and roll mixture into a log shape
  8. Carefully, place in large oven-proof casserole dish, seam down
  9. Pinch ends to seal
  10. Pour tomato sauce over mixture
  11. Bake at 375º F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until done
