1 cup uncooked bulgur
1-3/4 cups boiling water
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1-1/2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
black pepper to taste
Place the bulgur in a bowl, then add the boiling water. Cover and let stand until the water is absorbed, about 25 minutes.
Heat the sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet, then add the green onions, garlic and mushrooms. Saute until golden, about 2 minutes. Stir in the soaked bulgur, soy sauce, ginger and black pepper. Cook until hot, about 3 minutes.
Serve hot.
