Braised Tuna
Fresh tuna with lots of elements.
Yield: Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 Tuna Fillets
- 2 Tbs. olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup tomato, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 1/4 cup white wine
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 Tbs. of olive oil and stir fry the celery until soft
- Stir in tomatoes and thyme and cook for about 5 minutes
- Place in shallow dish
- Heat remaining olive oil and quickly fry the tuna steaks to brown on each side
- Place tuna steaks on top of vegetables, season; then pour white wine
- Cover
- Bake at 325º F for 40-50 minutes until fish is tender
