Ingredients
Instructions
*Use this sauce for pancakes, puddings, cakes or fresh fruit. Fresh berries work best, but you can also use frozen berries. *
2 cups blueberries, divided
2 Tbsp sugar
1/4 cup water
1/8 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Combine 1 cup blueberries and the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring, and boil for 3 or 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1 cup blueberries. Serve warm or chilled.
*Variations: * Substitute orange or cranberry juice for the water. Stir in 1/4 to 1/2 tsp lemon, almond or orange extract. Add freshly grated lemon or orange zest.
