Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups white whole-wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp apple pie spice
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup egg whites
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 cup diced apples
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly spray nonstick muffin pan with nonstick spray and line with paper muffin cups
- Combine dry ingredients in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add wet ingredients and apples and mix well
- Fill muffin cups ¾ full with batter
- Bake until done, about 25 minutes. Test with a toothpick - it should come out clean when muffins are done

There is an asterik placed after the first listed ingredient: white whole wheat flour. I don't know what white whole whear flour is. Is it one or the other? Could this be a combination of the two flours? If it's a combination of the two flours...how much of each should be used?
